out of town guest, looking for family getaway

The beds were to hard, we have bug bites on our arms and legs and the customer service from 3pm-7:30am needs improvement and training. They have NOOOOOO! knowlege of nothing, where the ice machine or located at. And do not answer the front desk phone. It only takes a couple to make it bad for the whole group, tub stopped up, several problems with the room. Special thanks to one lady that works the am shift .

Nothing like hearing crack heads.

We stayed here one night and all we heard was partying all night long. Crack heads were running up and down the hall looking for lighters. Not a great place to take you kids.

Horrible...

They gave us the wrong room and told us we could have one for free... Then at the end of our stay they tried to charge us for it. They also lied multiple times about our reserved room. ....But they were clean rooms though.

Love The Location, Lacks That Special Touch!

I choose this hotel due to the value and location, lowest rate and not too far from the major attractions! The staff is courteous and very helpful plus they got security at night which is great. We slept soundly thru the night as there were no noises or issues during sleep time. The rooms could use a little more cleanliness and maintenance, a clean up issue was resolved immediately by switching rooms. The bathroom could use some fixes and upgrades, as it wasn't in the best shape, but overall since the location and value made up for those minor issues I would recommend this hotel to anyone not too demanding when needing a place to spend the night. I'll be back!

Not The Best

The first night the shower was not working properly. It only had a sprinkle of water coming out. When I let them know about it a maintenance guy came on out and informed me that the shower was working properly. I then told him that there was not enough water coming out to rinse the shampoo from my hair and he changed the shower head which increased the water flow by about 10%. The building had 4 outside doors with security locks on them but 3 of them were broken leaving the building unsecured. The room had dark blue carpet and the corners were white with dust. Also, we left the room at 10:30 am and returned about 3:30 pm to find the room had not been cleaned. When I asked the front desk about this, the housekeeping staff said that it was because I had a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door until 10:00 am. I have never stayed at a hotel that cleaned rooms before check out time, which was 11:00 am.

well worth it...but beware of the security man...

when i read the reviews i was a bit nervous...but couldnt afford anything else in the area...we got lost in garden city and called...the first man we spoke too got us even more lost into a scarry neighborhood but he wasnt staff...once a staff member took over we got to the hotel no problem...we were extreamly lat to check in due to a truck on fire on i-95 during rush hour but the staff had no complaints over it...it is also located within walking distance to a convience store a burger king a waffel house a walgreens and more...i inspected the room before anything else because the hotel we had staied in 4days previously in ocala fl had roaches and i was weary...to my suprise the room was spotless and the bathroom still smelt of cleaning supply...the beds were comfertible enough and the ac was wonderful over the heat...the staff was very polite and friendly...except the security gaurd...hes a bit to friendly...he would watch my husbands cousin and myself everytime we were outside and just stair...we went out to my vehicle and he looked in all my windows in the middle of the night...also my husband had dropped a pack of ciggarettes and the security man picked them up and followed us to our room scilently until we closed the door and then knocked to return them...i t was as if he just wanted to kno what room we were in other wise he would have spoken up before we even entered the building...he gave us the creeps forsure...so much so that my husbands 15 year old cusion and myself were afraid to go outside without my husband...and as for the value...it really cant be beat...especiall in the area where rooms go for atleast twice the price...

Nightlife tip: Short drive from hotel

tybee island is always very nice...avoid the peir areas and the strand/boardwalk if u have children as it is crowded in the summer time...instead goto the west end...right after the "big curve" signs goto the bp and turn where it says pay to park...this is a very quiet area...also drinkers will be happy to kno it is legal to bring alcohol as long as its not in a glass container and u may walk all over tybee with it
