Hotel staff was incredible!! Location is good, room was beautiful. We had the Forsyth View which overlooks the park, this was a very nice view. However, if you want to try to sleep in, do not get the Forsyth view. It is a very active park and when the music starts at 8am and you were out till 1am...it does not work well!! Have the Leopold's ice cream while you are at the hotel. Good location because there is a tour bus pickup on the corner next to the hotel's restaurant. Forsyth park is great to walk in, cafe in it across from the hotel for coffee and breakfast.

A friend of our's suggested this and it worked out great! Your first day in Savannah do the bus tour and spend the extra $2.00 per ticket and get the on/off pass. You can get on or off at every stop and really scout the city. We ended up using it almost like a taxi- only cheaper! Also made the rest of the trip more enjoyable since we knew where we wanted to go.

Perfect property
Top notch hotel in perfect location. Don't be fooled - the riverfront is touristy and overpriced for what it is. Forsyth Park is absolutely beautiful, and when you stay here you get to walk through it every time you leave the hotel. It's only a 15-20 minute walk to the river and you walk through 3 squares along the way. This hotel is where it's at.

The decor was eclectic and romantic. I loved the tub! Also had a separate shower. Awesome! The breakfast at the hotel attached restaurant was pricy but amazing. Having the park across the street was very convenient.

Got to Getaway
Quirky but fun
The decor is unusual but the hotel had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff was quite helpful and friendly. The bar at the restaurant was wonderful, especially the warm atmosphere and the music amazing....a blend of latin, jazz and southern pzazz.

Want to go off the beaten path? Marker 107 outside Richmond Hill. A local hide-away at the end of 144 off killkenny road. SPECTACULAR view of the marsh, and AWESOME FOOD. Casual dining with reasonable pricing. Plan on a 40 min drive though.

The hotel is in a beautiful spot.
They are still making renovations. The staff is outstanding. The only thing is making more accommodations with transportation to historic downtown.

Walking is fine as long as you are in shape. Not so great if you are not in great shape. The city is really enchanting and the people are gracious and hospitable. I want to go back again. The weather was great!

Elegant but affordable
Our room was very spacious and elegantly apppointed. The bathroom arrangement was a bit odd with a curtain system, but we made it work. We ate two breakfasts and one dinner at the adjoining restaurant; the food was excellent, and the service was skilled but slow. Forsyth Park across the street was beautiful, but we wouldn't recommend the cafe, which we tried for lunch.

River St. provides a scenic view and many wonderful dining choices. Parking is an issue if you are unable to walk a bit.

Savannah Celebration
The hotel staff and accomodations were fabulous. We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and returning to Savannah. We love the city and being at Tybee Island. This was our first time at the Mansion and will not be our last. The room was gorgeous and quiet which was perfect for us. Everyone was very attentive to our needs. We were very impressed. I have told everyone that they must stay at the Mansion the next time they are in Savannah.

We tried room service the first night we were there and it was exquisite! We have had room service in plenty of hotels and it is always a gamble. The food arrived hot and delicious! We ordered in 2 more times during our stay.
