Good place for a short vacation
Wife and I went to Savannah for a weekend vacation. The Hampton Inn was close to the historic district so we were able to walk to all the sites, bars, and restaurants. Furthermore, it is easy to get on the road to Ft. Pulaski and Tybee Island. It's a pretty typical Hampton Inn for those who have stayed there before so we knew what to expect. Staff were friendly and willing to assist in any way that they could.

Impromptu Mother's Day Weekend
I was pleased with this hotel for a last minute Mother's Day Weekend trip. I woke up early Saturday morning and was talking with Mom about what she might like to do for the weekend. Not sure how we thought a visit to Savannah would be a good plan but, nevertheless... next thing you know we were booting my dad out of his comfy bed and breaking the news to him. We used to live in Savannah many years ago and still like to visit now and then. The hotel is well located... if not right in the center of the historic district. It is only a few blocks away from City Market and a short walk to River Street. My parents are in their 70's so the extra walking took a little bit of a toll on them and crossing MLK to get to and from the hotel is annoying (even with the talking crossing signal). The room was clean and comfortable with a fridge and microwave. Once we realized the thermostat was on the wall we were much happier with the room temperature. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our housekeeper offered to open the room door for me when my hands were full. The folks at the front desk were cheerful and always greeted us when we came through. Being familiar with Savannah already, we did not ask for any tourist information but I saw several other guests talking with staff members and getting lots of great tips and information. My only minor complaint would be the unexpected $5.00 charge for parking that was part of the final bill. Still, $5.00 is a bargain considering what other hotel locations charge but it wasn't mentioned when we checked in. Be aware that there is an overflow parking lot for the hotel across the street and down about half a block or so. We did not use it thanks to Mom's handicap placard but the lot at the hotel itself is actually rather small so don't be surprised. Savannah is a walking city so chances are you will park and forget about your car for the length of your stay anyway.

wonderful
We had a great time in Savannah, GA. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful if we needed anything. Breakfast was very good every morning. Great location near a lot of good places to eat and drink. Very close to SCAD. When we come back to Savannah,GA we will make a point to stay at the Hampton. I've told all my friends that they need to stay there if they go to Savannah,GA.

My husband and I were very pleased with our visit to Savannah Hampton Inn &Suites. The staff were extremely helpful each time we asked for directions, purchased tickets or requested help with our tv.The first night we were there our tv would not work so we called the front desk only to be told by the maintanence man,Charles,it was not plugged in.We were embarrassed but he quickly put us at ease and took the time to talk to us and reassure us that this was not the first time this had happened. We agree we will stay here again "in a heart beat".

Great TIme in Savannah
My husband and I stayed at this location and overall we were happy. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was good (great coffee!) and the pool was exceptional. Only minor complaint was housekeeping, they were not too interested in cleaning our room each day. We had to remind the housekeeper assigned to us that we wanted to have the room done each day and even it seemed she lost interest halfway through the cleaning, This is minor compared to the great time we had in Savannah and we would probably stay at this spot again.

Savannah Bike Tours at 41 Habersham Street was one of the best things we did. Our guide was great, he knew his stuff and delivered it with real "Southern charm". Definitely the way to see a beautiful city!

Typical Hampton Inn
Stayed for 6 days with family. Only complaint was having to pay to park. Never had this experience with any other Hampton Inn, and I have stayed in many. Hotel was full of Girl Scounts which was abit annoying, but preteens are preteens.Housekeeping staff very friendly and did a good job in our room. Would tell friends to stay here, but warn about parking fees.

Great Little Place
Location was perfect. close enough to historic district and key features to be easily walkable; but far enough from the center of activity that we didn't feel like we were trying to sleep in a war zone. the room was nicely appointed, exceptional even, relative to the price point. I would ding them for no ash tray in a non-smoking room and the breakfast was "meh". the staff was courteous, professional and friendly. I would absolutely do this again on my next trip.

The best food we had was actually out of the historic district, at the Toucan Cafe on Stephenson. We also tried Boars Head (6/10), and Anna's (7/10).
