Courtyard by Marriott Savannah Midtown

We were in Savannah planning our upcoming wedding and we were looking for hotels that are affordable and still close to the historic district. The Courtyard was a great place with a convenient location. We will definitely be recommending this hotel to friends and relatives when they come to Savannah this fall.

15 minutes drive to the heart of the historic district. Very helpful staff, great price and overall value.

Very well pleased with hotel. Staff very nice. Room nice and comfortable. Convenient location to be able to enjoy shopping, beach, entertainment and dinning. Would stay there again.

Came to Savannah on buisness so I didn't need to be that close to downtown. This was perferct. Close enough to be in the tourist area in 15-20 minutes while staying out of the crowd. Staff was great and the hotel was clean. I would stay there again.

I read some of the other reviews and saw what other travelers complained about. Yes, the breakfast is pre-packaged and over-priced. Yes, the A/C seemed to work minimally. Yes, the staff is AMAZINGLY FRIENDLY and ATTENTIVE. So, I think my experience was pretty consistent with what others found. I didn't try to use the wi-fi while there. For my personal twist to the reviews, the Jacuzzi was really nice after a long day of sight seeing and there is an amazing Seafood restaurant a 5 minute drive from the hotel. The front desk clerk told us about it. Loved it!! Also, it's just outside of the Savannah downtown so you can feel separated from the hub-bub but it's close enough and in a safe neighborhood. We did pass it the first time though. The sign on the main street is kind of small. Look for the abandoned Bennigan's restaurant. The hotel is right behind it. I was happy with the experience when I left the hotel. Don't really care much about A/C though. If you're a die-hard must have A/C cranked kind of person, you might not be so happy with it.

This was a very good experience. At first, I wasn't sure, because I needed to change or add a name to the reservation, and the hotel refused to do so. They finally relented after an booking representative called them, though. They even allowed my mother to add an extra day for herself, which was nice of them since they were busy for the holidays. The staff was nice and the room was clean with a large TV. Recommended!

I wanted to save a little bit and stay at this Courtyard but the price difference wasn't worth the mediocrity of this hotel. The staff was rude, the room felt like it was barely cleaned and the over all experience felt more like a hostel than a hotel. You had to ask for everything that should have been provided. ie more than one towel, soap and toilet paper. And the complimentary coffee was not.

Hotel was fantastic to say the least. Very modern, has an outdoor pool, indoor hottub, great courtyard, small but cool little restaurant, and excellent staff. We dont usually do reviews, but this place definitely deserved one. Location isnt great, but only 10 minute drive to River/ Bay Street (where the party is) and about 20 to Tybee Beach. The difference in price made it very worthwhile. Dont get me wrong, there were lots of stores, restraunts, and a shopping mall within 5 minutes of the hotel. It was just my 1st time in Savannah so I wanted to hang out in the Historic/ Downtown District. Would definitely stay here again AND recommend to friends and family.

Under renovation. Convenient but you will hear.planes. worked in room. Staff didnt understand the pnter in lobby. Will be excellent when renovation - stabucks - is completed.

Hotel was clean and spacey. People at the desk were nice and professional. Hotel was close to River Street as I requested. It had a nice swimming pool and a very classy hot tub.
