If you are an able-bodied healthy person, the hotel is within easy walking distance of the historic district. It is not far from any of the attractions in the area. The hotel was very clean and staffed by very professional, helpful associates. The room was great, and comfortable. The only complaint I could make was the $14/day valet parking. I don't know if it was mandatory, but it is presented that way.

Overnighter to home from Carnival Dream/ St Maarten

Stayed here as midpoint return of 600 miles from Port Canaveral FL to Raleigh NC. Room was great except for no complimentary bottled water to drink and make coffee. Outside parking by valet was a little expensive at $14 overnight for 10 hours. Staff very helpful and friendly to guide us to nearby SCAD so granddaughter could visit design school as future college option.

Nothing special

We were placed in a room for disabled people! We're in our 60s but don't think that makes us disabled. We had a roll in shower and no tub. Overall the room was quite ordinary with a mildewy smell. Maybe that's the way the they all are with the proximity to the water and humidity. Our message light blinked the entire time, and despite several calls we could never access the message or connect with a staff member who could. The staff was rather apathetic. I would look for a different hotel if I returned to Savannah.

Quick One Day in Savannah

The Courtyard was very nice and we were able to get a very good rate. The visitor center was across the street and we took a tour trolley from there. It's a long walk to the riverfront and city market areas but not undoable. There are many hotels closer to the action but they were far more expense. Much better than being outside the historic district. My only gripe: No fridge, microwave or free breakfast. I get that if you have a full service restaurant you don't want to compete with it but they have a pantry in which they sell microwavable meals but you have to wave them in the pantry - silly really. But - Savannah has so many great resaurants it's a shame to eat in your hotel room :) The only other negative was that due to the traffic in Savannah when we were checking out (midday on a Saturday) it took them an hour to get our car from the garage - just a heads up for planning purposes. Overall I would stay there again if the price was right.

Tricked

The staff treated us like they did not want to be bothered. Also, we booked a room with a sitting area. No such room existed!!! That was the main reason we chose that hotel. That room was also more expensive than the standard room and we did not get a refund!!! Ruined our night there!!! The hotel blamed the trave co. on this mistake and said they could not do anything about the mistake!!!!

Long Weekend Getaway

My girlfriend and I returned to Savannah for the second year in a row over MLK Weekend. This year we decided to stay in the downtown area to be closer to all the historic area has to offer. The hotel staff was always very polite and helpful. The valet service was quick with retrieving the car, and I found no damage to the vehicle, not even a scratch. The minor drawback is the lack of a mini-fridge in the room. Your 'run of the mill' $70 a night hotel has mini-fridges and microwaves in every room, but this $140 a night hotel did not have this convenience. So the typical ice bucket must keep beverages cold, not a good situtation. The hotel is a bit of a walk from River St. and Bay Street. Overall, the hotel will not 'Wow' you in anyway, but I do not believe you will be disappointed in your experience.

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

During the trip, we had a great experience with the Blue Orp Zombie Ghost Tour. The tour is for adults, and the open container law allows you to carry a beer/cocktail with you on the tour. Worth your money. Good eats include Belfords, Your Pie, Spankys, and Six Pence Pub. Great food, value, and experiences at them all.
