It's ok but price high for what you get

This hotel was pretty but price high for quality. Rooms were comfortable but carpet was really dirty & light fixture over bed was broken, lighting in the room was way too dim....made getting makeup on impossible except in bathroom & was vacationing with two other ladies so very hard to get ready to go out! No table in room, only a desk with partially broken desk chair so eating in was very hard, and a mirror over the desk was very much needed to give another place to get ready. Bed was comfortable but extremely noisy street outside so hard to sleep. Also parking deck for hotel it super tiny & very dark & creepy & $12 charge per day to park. Staff did take off parking charge since charge for parking wasn't listed on description of charges.

A Lovely Experience!

My experience at this hotel was excellent. The front desk staff members were lovely. If I open a school of hotel management, I will hire them as professors. The breakfast was wonderful, and I loved the free, warm cookies at 5:00 pm. The hotel is also wonderfully well located: about 15 minutes (on foot) from the historic district. This place is a winner!

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

The hotel is just a 15 minute walk from the main attractions in Savannah's historic district. Whether you want rich Southern food or fun shopping experiences (or both), they're readily available in close proximity.

EXCELLENT FACILITIES AND FRIENDLY STAFF

We stayed for our son's graduation and stayed at one of the Suites. The room was comfortable, the staff friendly, the location was easy to find and in a location convenient for us. The breakfast buffet is extensive. The cookies at 4pm the best snack.

Absolutely Amazing!!!

For the price, location, and comfort, we couldn't find a better location in Savannah's Historic District. VERY walkable to City Market and River Street, and is just a 20-30 minutes car ride to gorgeous Tybee Island. Also, can't say enough about the staff - top to bottom, the friendliest and most cordial individuals we could have met. From the front desk coordinator, all the way through to the wonderful woman hosting the complimentary breakfast, all were amazing. And speaking of the complimentary breakfast, the best we've ever had! Put it this way, they have a waffle maker...enough said! Will definitely be staying there every time we head to the Savannah.

great location!

Pros: -Great location. Pretty much walking distance to everything except the Bonaventure cemetery (it's in a residential area) -Spacious rooms with a mini fridge which was helpful so we didn't have to buy everything. -Breakfast was pretty decent AND was available until 1030 which I found great so that we didn't have to rush down there...we are on vacation!-I don't wanna wake up too early! Cons: -TERRIBLE pillows. Ridiculously soft and lumpy. I really didn't sleep all that well here and I think this was a huge part of it. -Big stain on the carpet when you first walked in which was a big turn off-not a very good first impression but the room seemed otherwise clean. (I believe we stayed in rm 334).

two nights in may

Chose hotel largely based on walkable location to most of Savannah historic district, without being ridiculously expensive. Room and hotel were clean, parking was across the street at a reasonable $12/night, and a decent breakfast was available. If I go back I would certainly look into staying there again.

Park the car and leave it in the garage after you arrive. Parking downtown is a hassle - just walk!
