Cozy rooms and modest amenities next to Hunter Army Air Field
Best Western Central Inn located on the south side of Savannah satisfies families and business travelers with amenities and a central location. The hotel sits in a modern, suburban area populated by shopping centers and restaurants a few miles outside Savannah's historic district, directly adjacent to the Hunter Army Airfield. Drive five to ten minutes up Abercorn Street to reach the historic district. Old Town Trolley Tours also offers shuttle service to the downtown ticket office at the Visitors Center.

Good location and fair price
The hotel was clean and had a friendly staff. Good location to river street and short drive to Tybee Island and the Crab Shack.

Good location
The hotel was in a really convenient location with quick access to everything we wanted to visit. The bed wasn't very comfortable but the air conditioner worked great.

Good Room - Bad location
The hotel was fine - clean room, comfortable beds. Located next to the air force base - planes flying directly overhead.

Pre-Cruise stay
No complaints with the hotel, just with the shuttle service (All Star). Shuttle to cruise port was good but avoid any offers for shuttle service after the cruise. HORRIBLE service!!! Needed drop off to car rental office, driver didn't know how to get there and van could only accommodate passengers, no room for luggage (???). If you're not going directly to the airport after your cruise, take a cab instead of All Star or use a different shuttle company.

My stay was great!
Visited 02/23/2012 thru 02/26/2012. Brought my son down to practice and perform for the G.M.E.A. All-State held at the Savannah Civic Center (Historic District). This hotel is about 15 minutes away but I visit Savannah often and didn't want to stay in the historic distric with all those tourist! Just take Abercorn all the way and you'll end up in the middle of the Historic District and River Street (park in parking decks). The hotel is one turn off Abercorn St. which is one turn off I95 and VERY convenient to two malls, Bass Pro Shops, an abundance of family restaurants, Wal-Mart, and anything you need or want! This area is safe and traffic is always very busy. The room and beds were very comfortable. All staff was friendly and housekeeping was good. Breakfast was ok. Good to use the waffle iron but no meat; also no non-stick spray for the iron and was needed. Pastries, juices, coffee,toast, cereals, oatmel and grits pouches. I'll definetely stay again! Maybe 3/12/2012 when I'm back in Savannah....

A great state-of-the-art bowling alley in the area! Has real food, mixed drinks, video games, and very big plasma tv's inside. The outside appearance though makes it looks like a dive. Glad I went in!

on a busy weekend a great value
This is a typical hotel no bells and whistles but it is well maintained, clean and comfortable.The staff is super friendly and goes the extra distance to serve your needs.
