Cozy rooms and modest amenities next to Hunter Army Air Field

Best Western Central Inn located on the south side of Savannah satisfies families and business travelers with amenities and a central location. The hotel sits in a modern, suburban area populated by shopping centers and restaurants a few miles outside Savannah's historic district, directly adjacent to the Hunter Army Airfield. Drive five to ten minutes up Abercorn Street to reach the historic district. Old Town Trolley Tours also offers shuttle service to the downtown ticket office at the Visitors Center.

Best Western Central features 129 tastefully decorated rooms with either king or double beds. Rooms with king beds also have easy chairs and large work desks. All rooms have microwave, mini refrigerator, phone, coffee maker and cable TV with 60 channels. Wireless Internet access is available in common spaces as well as guest rooms. Adjoining rooms or cribs are available by request.

Clean and comfortable

Exactly as expected. Nothing fancy, but definitely clean and comfortable. Reasonably convenient but at a much lower price than hotels in the historic district. Pool was nice.

Good place to stay

The hotel is old but very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and modern. The electrical outlets are old but all worked. The bathrooms and the rooms have been refurbished and were nice. Although this hotel is located at the end of a runway for Hunter Army Airfield the planes taking off were no problem, only heard one at night. It is in a very good location, close to lots of shopping and eating places, my wife loved the shopping part. We also went to Historical Downtown which is only a few minutes from the hotel. Will stay here in the future.

Great price, convenient location

Good for the money

The hotel is going under renovations in the front lobby area. The rooms look like they were updated within the last 18 months. The room was clean and the staff was helpful. Wireless internet is also available with a pass code you at check-in. Microwave & frig in the room with plenty of towels for up to 2 people. This is a no frills hotel with clean rooms at an affordable price ($69). This is what I was looking for. It is very close to the landing strip of the airport so be prepared for some very low flying planes and the noise that goes with it. Luckily, the airport is not a major US airport.

If you can go somewhere else

It was under construction, breakfast was not that good. Coffee was old, limited supplies and not much to offer. Room was not too bad, no of the doors were inside all access was from outside. Would not recommend stay down the street pay the little extra to stay some place esle.

Nice place

The hotel was a pleasant place to stay. The price was reasonable. It is only 25 min from Tybee Island to avoid the islands high price on everything.

Conveniently located Best Western

The location is located right behind a Waffle House, so its convenient for breakfast. Also, there is a large shopping plaza a couple of minutes up the street. The mall is about four minutes away as well.
