Tiny Room with no curtains!!

I arrived at the hotel around 11pm looking forward to a good night sleep after a long trip. When I got to my room I was shocked. The bed was placed at an angle because the room was so small. I mean really really small. As I was tired and wanted to sleep I decided to close the curtains and go to bed. To my surprise there were no curtains! Only old dingy metal blinds covered in dust. They were no match for the bright lights of Peachtree Steet! Pipes in bathroom moaned as other guests would use water in their bathrooms. The return air vent was covered in a think layer of dust. I just could not stay in that room. I can't imagine anyone would pay to stay in a room like that. Staff was friendly and did move me although it sounded like an inconvenience for them as manager stated, "we can only move you to the second floor because we are full." I don't think they were full, but who knows. Next room was big and spacious but carpet was threadbare and furniture was scratched. Minor things compared to my first room!

College Students at Conference

Good value. Rooms clean, but slightly outdated decor and oddly shaped rooms. The hotel itself is in a nice location. I stayed there while attending a conference at the Marriott Marquis - the area between the Georgian and the Marriott is sketchy. I would not travel between these two sites alone.

Large rooms, convenient location

The room I was given was impressive, a separate bedroom and living room, a convenient isolated desk with comfortable chair to work, and a nice bed with appropriate coverings. It would be great if the room had a refrigerator, since there was enough room for it. The stay was great, two nights without any major problem. One minor problem was that the heating system was not working properly, and the temperature in the rooms would not rise above 66 degrees Fahrenheit. Usually that would not be a problem in Atlanta, but the days of my visit the outside temperature at night was 35. Still not a big problem, under the bedsheets it was cosy and warm. The complimentary wifi works well and is fast enough for most tasks. The staff is there when you need them but out of the way when you do not, and the room is quiet and enjoyable. Overall a good experience and a good value for the cost, especially for the area and the other options that are available.

Very elegant but not too much...

I appreciate all greetings and even though the rooms show age, everything is very neat and clean and most importantly, your staff is friendly and welcoming. Room service was the best EVER...timing, taste, and friendliness. Work out room fantastic, and I can't wait to use the rooftop pool in warm climate!
