Southern classic hotel near Atlanta’s top attractions
Celebrating 100 years, be part of the history. The Georgian Terrace Hotel has been Atlanta's place to be for a century. This hotel hosted the world premiere of Gone with the Wind in 1939 – it doesn't get any more classic than that. Presidents and movie stars have stayed at this Atlanta landmark over the years. Antique-style furniture in all of the rooms adds to the classic appeal. The hotel is on Atlanta's busy Peachtree Street and just a short walk, drive or subway ride from some of the city's top attractions.

Room was large. Bed and pillows were good. Only had blinds on the windows, no drapes to pull across so it was difficult to sleep late in the morning.

Weak service and amenities
After checking in and getting what I imagine to be a nice room I discovered the internet didnt work. Not just in my room but in the whole hotel (from what other guests shared with me too). This was actually a factor in me chosing the room and it was a huge disappointment. Hotel indigo about 10 feet away had it no problem. The elevator was super slow/busy as it was the only one working. The biggest disappointment was with the service of the night front desk emloyee. I asked where I could get a bottle of water and was told I could purchase one on even numbered floors. So took the super slow elevator to 4 (my floor) but there was no vending machine. Then the stairs to 2nd floor. No water. Then to 6th floor. No water. So I called the front desk...was told to try 10th floor or I could pay $4 a bottle and he would send them up. I told him that was absurd to be told to run all over the hotel and he wouldnt offer a comped water. He called me back later to offer one to be sent up but the damage was done. Totally felt like I was a burden to him and coupled with no internet I realized no benefit other than a bed to stay there. Will not repeat

Nothing good, very bad service
This hotel is definitely overrated. The location is nice, but this is probably it. The service was terrible: one day they took the towel and did not give the new one. Also, they did not give tea bags sometimes. It's not that I can't live without tea, but it demonstrates the quality. The lobby was not better: one day, when I wanted to ask, how to get a taxi, I was INTERRUPTED two times. On the third attempt they let me finish the sentence. Finally, there are minor defects, for example, only two elevators in a high building is not enough. Overall, I do not think that one should stay in this hotel.

Great, relaxing stay in a beautiful historic building.
Outstanding food in the restaurant. Very nice staff. Large modern rooms. Free wifi. Unfortunately, pool was not open (would have been so nice in the warm water on the roof whilst it is almost snowing outside).

Closet for a room
The room on this trip was a closet with two 60-watt bulbs, so dark we could not read or work. Paper coming off the walls, chinked plaster. Shower water would completely disappeared. We were so shocked as the last time we stayed we had a superior room. Will never stay here again. Too many other places to choose from in Atlanta.

Great stay
This was the first time we have stayed here during our market business trip. We loved it . It wasnt as close to the market as other places that we have stayed ... I will have to say the distance was worth it. We would stay there again . We were put in a one bedroom suite .. to our surprise and it was wonderful. The staff was very very helpful and friendly .

I was at the hotel on business ( buying trip to the America's Mart - downtown). There was a shuttle that ran Morning and Evening to and from the Mart. This was perfect. I loved the excellent Southern Hospitality. Very good Restaurants are located within short walking distance. Beds were very comfortable. Thank you for a great experience.
