Beautiful Historic Hotel

When we arrived, we were given a choice to self park or valet. The garage was very convenient so my husband chose to park himself. Because of this, parking was only $25.00 a night which is so reasonable. The hotel staff was very nice and answered all questions we had. Our room was very nice and spacious. It didn't have a little frig or microwave like so many hotels do. A frig would have been nice. The view from our room of the Atlanta skyline was beautiful. The bars in the hotel in the hotels did a great job as well as the coffee shop. Again the staff was first rate. The location was perfect for visiting the aquarium, we walked because of a parade passing the hotel. It was easy access to the interstate, a fairly straight shot to Stone Mountain and just a few minutes to Decatur. I will definitely stay there again when visiting Atlanta.

Very good and soon to be even better

Incredible value for location in the middle of everything. They are updating rooms a floor at a time. Our room had not been updated yet, but was still very clean with nice furnishings. This size and accommodations could not have worked out better for my wife and two teenage boys that were with us. I had been to the Georgian Terrace previously and while I loved the public areas, the rooms felt dated. No longer and it will only be better once the updates are all complete (of course, the prices will go up at that point, but until then, this is a great value in a great location).

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

It is right across from the Fox, so if you are coming to town, this is the perfect spot for a show. Also, an easy walk to Grant Field for a GT football game.

It was OK

Maybe they were having an off day. They did a bleach clean on a room so the whole floor was stout with bleach, burned our eyes. We asked for a new floor, and they tried to put us in a downgraded room. We finally ended up in a different room that was what we paid for. The rooms smell old, kind of like you grandparents old parlour rooms. It was not so awefull that I would not stay there again. The location was nice after we got the rooms all sorted out.

In-town experience

I stayed in the 2 bdrm suite "unrenovated" and was completely fine with it. It wasn't a hotel room, it was an apartment which was fun! It's definitely worn out and rough around the edges #except for the beds - those are up to date and the bathroom is clean# but the G.T. is beautiful and once all the renovated rooms are there, it will have high rates. So check it out while you can. P.S. when making reservations, specify unrenovated vs renovated....very helpful....

Location of the hotel is great if you are going to an event at the Fox Theatre. I thought the parking fee was a bit pricey but other than that had a very good experience.

Great hotel in the city!

The hotel is located in a perfect area of the city, with lot's of bars and restaurants around it. All the staff I came in contact with were very helpful and polite. The rooms were large and clean but definitely in need of a face-lift. There is definitely a worn feel to the rooms. Finally the building itself is beautiful and the rooftop pools offers some amazing views.

Helping sister move to Atlanta

Nice welcome, easy check-in. However the pillow cases were dirty and there was no min bar etc to keep anything cold. We ended up putting our own pillow cases. The next day after house cleaning we found our Pj's on the floor!
