Atlanta
We had a nice time at the hotel. In town for a family wedding. When we checked in we were faced with a somewhat rude clerk, but later Eric was at the desk and he was a pleasure!! Hotel is nice, if a little dated, but there is a nice hot breakfast available every morning. Charlie G's next door was very yummy and we happened to be in town during annual Oysterfest which was fun to view off our balcony.

Great/Comfortable Hotel, Great Price
We stayed at the hotel from Thursday to Sunday. We booked in advance, which was non-refundable, but we got an awesome price on the room. The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful. The room was clean and had a well-furnished kitchenette and a balcony with a commanding view of the city. There was a small extra charge for parking, but there was no limit on how often you could go out. The location was walking distance to most of midtown, and easy to find from the highway. I will definitely stay here again in the future. The staff was also gay or very gay-friendly,

Good Option for Piedmont Park events
We loved this hotel's rooms and location. The service angle seems a little rough around the edges, but not awful. 5-10 minute wait for anyone to show up at front desk for check-in. No parking passes available so we were told to just park and not to worry about it, and come back later for a pass. (I didn't like having to worry I would come back and find the car booted, even though it didn't happen. Waffle batter dispenser not working at breakfast. These are all little things but left me with a feeling that service is not their top priority. My biggest problem was the lack of wireless internet. There was a cable for wired internet in the room, but that doesn't work for modern equipment, especially smart phones. They didn't lie about it or anything...it's just that these days one expects in-room wireless at a hotel in this price range. The room was huge, clean and comfortable, otherwise. Note that some of the reviews reference the gigantic radio tower next door. It is now being dismantled. That's not a problem, but just know that "find the hotel from anywhere" landmark is about gone as of fall 2010.

Short walk from hotel
Piedmont Park is easy walking distance. This is a commercial area so there is little in the way of shopping/dining/nightlife on the surrounding blocks, but a good bit is within 3-4 blocks. MARTA station is a block away for anything else, including airport.

Don't know if that if it common in ATL but had to pay for parking. The room was a little hot even on the coldest setting.
