Melia Atlanta

Have stayed at other 4stars of this corporate group, and this was a great disappointment. Check In was smooth . The room was wanting, The tub did not drain, Poor towels. Better at one star. The beds (mattress) were also not of 4 star quality. Ordered room service the menu was very limited. when food arrived the pannini sandwich had meat that I would not have fed my dog. Asked for the manager at the front desk. He was busy. Then went back after breakfast and asked again for the manager and a very young man named Travis posed as the manager. Knew he wasn't because he handled it very poor with out the professionalism of a General Manager. I asked another employee the name of the GM and found out it was Gabriel. Overall with the dishonesty poor tub drain, towels , mattress and food it sucked.

very nice rooms and very clean. Could not believe that the rooms were as inexpensive as surrounding hotels.

For a hotel that is in the center of downtown Atlanta, GA I would think that rooms would have in room safes and small refridgerators. I have stayed at not so expensive hotels that have better amenities inside the room. The view was fabulous from the 22nd floor, I sleep well overall.

The lobby was nice and breakast was great. The rooms were somewhat dated, and could use some updated carpeting. The bed was decent, but the pillows were kind of meh. The biggest downside was the gym...it was below average at best.

Disappointed with the cleanliness of the hotel. Carpets were dirty. My bed sheet had what appeared to be a blood smear toward the foot of the bed. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful.

the wait for check in was long with one/two people working the 30' long desk. the bellhop and valet were great. the room was clean and nice but no extra amenities. the wait for food at the grill for dinner was a hour, with no bread.

Staff was excellent. Hotel was very nice and clean.

It was acceptable for an evening, but wouldn't want to vacation here. Bed was clean, but hotel was tired and needed some attention. Furniture outdated and felt like a middle of the road hotel.

Greeting, As a repeat Melia guest, I was thoroughly disappointed by the Melia-Atlanta. I have stayed in some of the properties in Europe and been more than pleased. The Atlanta location was dated and not clean once you passed the lobby. Aside from being dated it was raggedy (elevators and ice machine not functioning, tape on the floor to cover snags in the carpet...just to mention a few of the number of problems). My room was dirty: stained comforter, food and trash on the floor where the room had not been vacuumed, stains on the walls, and it was dusty. On top of the nasty room - the staff was rude. I was a guest for New Years Eve. The staff was awful-not a good way to start the new year. Again as a repeat gust I was not pleased.

We stayed for New Years Eve, so we spent significantly more than usual. The door to a cabibet was broken off and not replaced or repaired. The over all state of the room was lightly worn. The bed was comfortable but the sheets had a tear in them and there was hair on the bed. There were repairs done to the bathroom but they were poorly patched. The staff was exceptionally polite and professional. I am a frequent travler so maybe my standards are high but I don't think so!!!! The cost is usually 80'ish. For the location and cost it could be considered affordable accomodations!!!
