Business Trip
I had an interview in Atlanta near this hotel, which is why I chose it. I took the subway from the airport to the nearest stop and hopped in a cab. The cab driver did not know where the hotel was, but once I got there everything was fine. It seemed to be kind of in the middle of nowhere. I don't know much about what else there is to do in this area. I arrived nearly at midnight. The room was clean, there were a lot of channels on the TV, and the staff was friendly. The shower was hot, and there were also some cheap snacks to purchase down by the front desk. The best part was the complimentary shuttle. I had an interview the next day, and because it was less than 5 miles from the hotel the shuttle drove me there and picked me up for free, saving me a lot of money vs. calling a cab. They also drove me to the nearest train station to get back to the airport. I would not hesitate to stay here, but beware that there is not much to do in this part of Atlanta. It is a ways away from downtown, although the nearby train station allows you to get into the city relatively easily.

Would not Hesitate to Stay Again
The hotel is not located extremely close to much, but it is relatively close to a lot. The cab driver from the MARTA station did not even know where it was. Once I got there, though, everything was great. The staff were extremely friendly. The best part was the free shuttle that drives you anywhere within 5 miles. I had an interview about 5 miles away and they drove me there and picked me up for free. They also drove me back to the MARTA station when my stay was over. This saved me so much money vs. paying for a taxi to these places. The room was spacious and clean. The TV had a lot of stations. I can't really complain about anything.

Great staff and easy highway access
When we first checked in we weren't given double beds, but when we went to the front desk they accommodated us right away. The only drawback was not being close to the city, so we drove a lot. I did like that we were very close to the highway and the hotel was recently updated!

Not A Safe Place to stay - NO SECURITY
We were ROBBED while sleeping in our room. Our son got married in June in Dunwoody and we booked several rooms for family and friends, a suite and held the rehearsal dinner at the hotel. On Friday night we were robbed in our room while we were sleeping. I woke up to find a man standing over my husband reaching for his watch on the night stand. I screamed and the man ran out of the room. We knew immediately that we had been robbed. This hotel has some SERIOUS SECURITY PROBLEMS!! And this reflects poorly on the Holiday Inn Corporation overall. I really should say there is NO SECURITY at this hotel. Below is a list of things that we observed. **The front entrance has no security camera or personnel watching the door – day or night. **People are coming in to put menus from restaurants under the guest doors any time day or night. **When guest rooms where being cleaned doors were left WIDE OPEN with guest suitcases and bags in full sight. And NO hotel personnell in site. This was not just the room being cleaned – but rooms that were cleaned and waiting to be cleaned. Not just 1 or 2 rooms – try about 1/3 of the hotel wing. **Guest doors were also held open with the security bar. Again not just 1 or 2 – a locked door was VERY unusal ! **The day we were robbed was the only day we received a USA Today paper – the Security Manager told my husband that he delivered it – but that was the only day we got one - and none of the other guests in our party ever got one !! Coincident ??? **After the robbery whenever we left the suite we locked the dead bolt on the suite door and then locked the doors to our rooms and left through the room doors. Every time we returned the dead bolt on the suite door was open. It was not the maid, because the trash was never taken (we took it out ourselves) and new towels were never left on the vanity. **One of the family members had major problems with their room cards – they went through 9 sets of room cards in 4 days. On Thursday night they left our room at 12:40am and their cards would not work so they went to the front desk to get new and waited for 15 minutes for someone to come out to get them new cards. While they waited they called out several times, walked into the office area and watched 5 people just walk into the hotel through the front entrance. NO SECURITY ?? ** Saturday night at 3am a women ran screaming down our hall – this was probably due to the great number of "UNPOPULAR GUEST" staying at the hotel. After the robbery Hotel Management told us that nothing like this had ever happened in this hotel. But we got a very different story from the Pastor who married our son. When my son told him about it the Pastor came right over to my Husband and I and told us that was outright false. He told us of a church member who had come back to Atlanta for her 100th birthday celebration that was robbed at the very same hotel and in the very same manner. I understand they did not want us to feel there were problems at the hotel – but believe me it is very obvious that there are PROBLEMS! The renovations that have been done on the hotel are beautiful. The rooms are very nice and new. The restaurant was very nice, the restaurant service is exceptional and food was excellent. The meal and service for the rehearsal dinner was also excellent. The hotel did not charge us for our rooms – but that is nothing compared to the loss of what was stolen. Along with having this happen on our family's special occasion of our son's wedding. We cannot change what happened to us, we will never get back what we lost in the robbery and we have to deal with the terrible feeling of intrusion that is lingering from being robbed in our room while sleeping. Our hope is that the Holiday Inn Corporation will investigate this incident and fix the problems so no one else will encounter this kind of traumatic experience at this hotel.

Visited for gay convention
I loved the hotel, it was clean in the lobby, very modern looking. I wonder if the hotel was simply new, or if they had a rennovation recently... either way it was very colorful. The beds were very nice and there was even a selection of soft and firm pillows. I got a king sized bed so i had a nice sofa and coffee table which came in handy when i had guests. The hotel itself was really nice, but the real downside was that it was far from MARTA access. It was a pain to get into and back from Atlanta and there were very few dining options around. The hotel food was ok, wasn't great but it did make me feel a bit better about staying in. Also in the lobby there are delivery place menus available if you care to order in (although i did not). I enjoyed the pool although i believe it is over-chlorinated, i showered twice and could not get the chlorine off my skin and out of my hair. Last but not least, i really liked the lounge area with the open "street lights" and chairs and tables. They were so comfortable and great for relaxing with my friends and chatting. i thought it was cool that some rooms overlooked the lounge. I wish i had one of those.
