Underwhelming
Prepare to be underwhelmed for what you receive for your money. Pros: Location Cons: Technically they're suites, but they sure are small.Check the grout in your shower ... yuk! You'dl think they could invest in a little bleach. Also, make sure you take extra cash to tip every valet, bell hop ... etc. you enter. They'll always have their hand out.

Nightlife tip:
Short walk from hotel
After 9:00 PM your nearby choices are really limited. Stats, Max's Pizza, and Der Biergarten.

Valet Parking
The Valet parking was terrible, but they are not employees of the hotel. It took forever to get our cars when we needed them. The guys were not very efficient or friendly for that matter. I stayed there for one night for a conference that I attended at the hotel. They told me that after 3pm the day I was checking out it would cost me another $14 to park after I just paid $29 for the over night. There was not a parking lot that I could have self parked in. I would not recommend this hotel just because of the Valet/parking.

Weekend in Atlanta
I traveled to Atlanta by car on 1/28 and stayed at the Embassy Suite Centennial Park. I arrived @ 1:30 and there was a valet attendant ready to park my car. My reservation was processed by a very pleasant and informative desk clerk and my room was ready. I found it clean and comfortable. The location was perfect, as I was attending an event at the GA Dome on Saturday and visiting the World of Coke on Sunday. We walked a short distance to both. Breakfast Sunday was delicious and checkout was a breeze. I will definitely stay at this Embassy Suites again and recommend it to anyone needing a hotel downtown Atlanta.

Not worth the money
I have stayed at Embassy Suites in various cities and this was my worst experience. The main reason I stay is for the breakfast. It was awful, provided by Ruths Chris which would make you think it would be good. The coffee looked like tea and so many people complained, they made a new batch. The shower head was broken and we couldn't take a shower and there was no hot water even if we wanted to. When I complained they said I needed to speak with a manager that wasn't available at the time.

Excellent service - Excellent location!
After much research and pricing, I chose to go with Embassy Suites directly across from Centennial Park in the heart of downtown Atlanta. After valet parking and help with luggage we went straight up to our upgraded room with a view. The room was really clean and the hotel was really cool which was nice considering it was in the high 90's. We enjoyed relaxing and snacking at the manager's reception right after unpacking. The long weekend was amazing! We were able to walk to the World of Coke, the Georgia Aquarium, Hard Rock Cafe, the Market, many other fine restaurants, and the park of course. We never even had to get in the car. Loved going to the pool at night and viewing the lights of Atlanta. The breakfast was an extremenly nice bonus. The employees were so hospitable and friendly. We will definitely recommend this hotel to others.

HOTEL WORTH STAYING AT
The hotel was a fabulous location. Centennial Park was right across the street, Georgia Aquarium and Coca-Cola Museum could be seen from hotel. Georgia Dome, CNN, Georgia World Congress buildings, and Phillips Arena were all within easy walking distance. There were alot of places to eat within 4-5 blocks of it. The area was nice and you felt safe in it. The hotel inside was nicely kept and we loved the layout of the suite. It had a living room area as you entered, complete with couch, 2 chairs, desk, and TV. The bathroom plus an area with a microwave, refrigerator and bar area was in the center. The bedroom area was separated by a door from the other areas with its own TV. The suite was spacious enough that you did not feel like you were tripping over each other when you moved about it. The hotel even gave you a nice breakfast that was prepared at their on site restaurant and an afternoon snack time to help offset food costs. The beds were very comfortable. If you decide you are too tired to go out then there is a wide selection of recent movies available to you to watch at a decent price. We caught up on three movies while we were there just because after a day of walking we were too tired to go back out to do anything else. The only drawback for us was the pool was an outside one and it was still too cold outside to use it, but other than that we really liked the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel and gladly stay here again.

Dining tip:
In Hotel
The restaurant in the hotel is very pricey. The food however was excellent and the steak portion very large. I would recommend the steak which was melt in your mouth quality. My pork chop was okay, but not nearly as good as the steak. Everything is priced separately, but quite truthfully, the portions were large enough that you didn't need a side to go with it. Each of us got dessert and the dessert was large enough to share. The banana pudding was wonderful and the chocolate cheesecake was also excellent. Don't go here if you are on a tight budget because it will be expensive and there are plenty of places to eat on Peachtree Street, about 5 blocks away. There are also other eating options within 2-3 blocks if you don't want to go to Peachtree street.

wonderful experience
My girlfriend and I were going to a hawks game at Phillips arena so this hotel was perfectly located. The hotel was easy to find and the valet was very inviting. Checking in took no time at all and within 5 min of arriving we were headed to our room. The view was amazing, we were on the sixth floor overlooking centinial park. The managers reception was also nice, it was a perfect happy hour before the game. They also supplied us with a cooked to order breakfast that was wonderful. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay in the downtown Atlanta area.
