Room had Cockroaches
A clean room, not the Ritz, but clean, helpful staff, a good night sleep. Inb Atlanta, GA the Days Inn at 1701 Northside Drive. When we walked in I was wary. There were dirty handprints on sink and hairdryer. It took 30 minutes of running the shower and the water was cold the entire time. When I called they said sometimes if a lot of people are taking showers the water is cold, but there were only about five cars in the entire lot and it was 11:00pm on a sunday, how many people are taking showers then? The TV kept going in and out and lines running across the screen. Also, under the cover the sheet did not stretch to cover my boyfriends side of the bed, so the dirty mattress was exposed. We werent too happy but my boyfriend and I were exhausted so we sucked it up and went to sleep. Around 1am I kept feeling something crawling in my hair. My boyfriend turned on the light and there was a cockroach on my pillow. At that point I said that is it. I don't care if we have to sleep in the car, it is better than this place. I explained this was unsanitary to the manager. we was very apologetic. He explained that some rooms are bettr than others. Well that was the TRUTH. He said grab your stuff and I will upgrade you for the night. He did upgrade us to a very nice king size bed, non smoking, no stains, no burns, no cockroaches and the tv worked. I said are you upgrading us for the night or all three nights and the manager said we could have it for all three nights. This was a nice stay. The buildings we first stayed in, well there were two. One that was ground floor only which looked so seedy that I think it was being rented out my the hour and our building a two story. I think this %^&*hole was a seedy motel that Days Inn bought, stuck their name on it, but did not want to invest in renovating the entire thing, so they just build one nice building which holds the lobby, conference area and the nicer rooms.I think it terrible what Days Inn has done and this needs to be addressed. I would never recommend to anyone to stay here.

Run Down in appearance
This Days Inn was only convenient to the Georgia Dome, some 10 minutes away. That was the good part of our stay. The room was smelly, non-smoking, and somewhat run down in its appearance. I have stayed at other Days Inn that was much better, cleaner, and overall just rated much higher than this one.

one night stay
The Days Inn in Alanta was a great price, but if you are looking for any frils it won't be there. The place was very old and in need of a lot of repair. Checking in was very easy, but we deceided to stay anothre day. that turned out to be a desaster. The person who renewed my reservation was not there. So when i went to get my key rescanned the person behind the desk said I did not have a reservation. I had to pack all our things to be reasigned a new room. Neddless to say after packing up we left, and found a much nicer hotel down the road. The location was great if you are planning a trip to the Alanta Dome, or the Congress Center if you just wwant a bed.

My Horrible Stay
WHen I arrived the hostess was very nice and they had my room ready for me. When i got to my room there was a bunch of gnats and my tub leaked from the bottom forming a huge puddle in the floor when I showered. I was moved to another room and there was an ant infestation in the entire room. I was killing ants the whole time. I'm really glad I was only there for a few days. I should have complained even more but I don't think it would have helped much.

Not recommended for the TV-savvy...
Days Inn Atlanta Northwest was somewhat boring to me. Well, I can't deny its LOW price and its proximity to what happened to be a very good place to eat: Waffle House. But it was far away from downtown, and as a person without a car, it was very hard to me to visit Atlanta's most important places, even by MARTA buses. The internet at first was very lousy; every time my computer booted up, it took a very long time for its internet access to become fully functional. Somehow I was unable to update my antivirus software because my antivirus couldn't reliably detect internet access. Instant-messaging programs at first failed to connect until after three or four retries. Well, here's the most interesting part: before checking in, I had asked Days Inn customer service by email whether their cable TV service offered Discovery Channel and Speed Channel. When I arrived, there was no Speed Channel on my TV, and the only Discovery Channel available was a Spanish version. All other channels either had very weak reception or were boring/lousy. What a disappointment! Well, I had read previous reviews regarding insects in the rooms. Well, I admit, I had some unwelcome guests, in the form of flies or baby roaches. Fortunately, they were no match for my swift summer slacks. I also had a guest in the form of a harmless moth, which I simply ignored. In summary, Days Inn is a good place only if you're willing to sacrifice quality TV and stable internet in favor of low prices and good waffles. Ah, don't forget your own car, as it's far away from downtown.

Don't expect much!
The Days Inn Northwest was convenient for traveling to the Georgia World Congress Center. Needless to say, we were greatly disappointed in our stay there. The property did not seem to be well kept. My travel companions had to change rooms twice due to unsanitary conditions of the rooms. My living quarters were fair. There was a refridgerator and microwave that worked properly, but the coffee maker in the room did not.The cord had been cut. In addition, there were never any liners placed in the trash can or ice bucket. The bathroom floor was dirty and the water took forever to drain out of the tub. I thought it was going to come up to my knees at one point. I also had to ask for towels more tahn once. However, I did appreciate that four pillows were on each bed. I believe the property needs an makeover!

Good Value
The Days Inn Atlanta Northwest was very comfortable. I didn't have time to use any of the amenities due to the fact that I was only there overnight. My stay was enjoyable. The staff and security guard were very friendly.
