An abundance of quality in the heart of downtown Atlanta
The Atlanta Marriott Marquis towers above the heart of downtown Atlanta. This 50-story building has 1,569 rooms and 94 suites. It's business-friendly and includes 84 separate meeting rooms and 160,000 square feet of meeting space. Sports fans love High Velocity, one of Atlanta's biggest sports bars, with 21 separate plasma screens. Several more restaurants and bars cater to a variety of tastes. The downtown location on Atlanta's world-famous Peachtree Street provides easy access to many of Atlanta's best attractions and shopping. The easy access to the Marta commuter rail system and area interstates make the rest of the city easy to get to.

Convenient Business Travel
I stayed for 1 night for business. The location was perfect - close to my meeting locations and in an area with lots to do within walking distance in my downtime. (recommend a drink down the block at the terrace of the Ritz!) Also just 2 short blocks away from the car rental center. Staff was more than courteous, I was upgraded upon check in. The room was spacious with a great view. Clean and comfortable - my main priorities when travelling for work. Starbucks in the lobby and a friendly concierge desk for any questions you might have. I wuold recommend this for business or vacation stay as it was just a few blocks from a few of the local sites (I took a quick walk to the CNN building and Centennial park the evening before my meetings. Highly recommend (and the staff mentioned it was the 3rd largest Marriott in the world! I can believe it, the facility was HUGE)

Less than 10 min away by cab in nearby Midtown, there is a restaurant called Empire State South. CHARMING restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining. A bocce ball court in their little courtyard for those who are waiting. Top notch foodie dining recommended by a NY food snob. :)

This hotel was terrific! The breakfast buffet at Sear was exceptional and well worth the price. What impressed me the most was the courtesy and attentiveness of the staff. Every person we interacted with made us feel well taken care of. They offered to help us print boarding tickets and helped us with walking directions so that we could get around and enjoy the city without incident. The staff was wonderful!

I was unprepared for how often it rains in Atlanta. Fortunately, the gift shop sells sturdy umbrellas for a reasonable price.

Valet parking
Overall my stay at this hotel was pleasant. Choosing to stay downtown was a mistake due to heavy traffiff. The hotel charges $32. Per day for valet parking. However they do not provide valet service due to congestion and inadequate space. They will park your car but you have to retrieve your own car from a parking garage. Parking attendant were not nice at all.

Great place for business trip
I love staying here. You feel like you never need to leave. Entertainment, great restaurants and a fabulous room. I only wish they served a nice breakfast and provided WiFi for less than $15 for one day.

Great as overnight stop
We booked this hotel as a stop over before a five hour drive to South Alabama. All staff from bellboys, to receptionists, to waiters were exceptional. All four of us were tired so we ordered room service that was delivered at exactly the time we were told it would. All the food was delicious. The beds were comfortable and we all felt refreshed for the long drive. Would definitely stay again!

Great location, average rooms
This hotel is massive and the staff was friendly. The rooms are average. The bathroom is tiny, so if you're sharing a room prepare to be crammed. We arrived at 1am and there were no restaurants open and room service menu is very limited and only available until 2am. So if you're hungry after 2am then you're out of luck. But that problem probably only applicable to a small percentage of guests. There was a cockroach in our room and we were immediately moved to a different room and the staff was apologetic. We were told that they couldn't refund a portion of our room charge since we booked through this site, so that was a downside of not booking directly with the hotel. Overall the hotel was average. The staff was very friendly.
