9/11 stopover
When you are in transit, there's nothing like finding the hotel shuttle two minutes after you step on the kerb and everything else worked like clockwork including the tv and the wakeup call. Comfortable bed and pleasant staff

efficient stopover in a long trip
My experience was exactly what I had hoped...a se cure, efficient, comfortable place to spend the night before flying out of the country...all worked, the transportation, the room, the early checkout, inexpensive food close by, and TV. clean, simple and efficient.

Horrible experience at that Hotel !!
No Shampoo available Towels were smelly The lounge was discusting The room was never cleaned properly, I had to clean it myself ! No running Water and AC for more than 8 hours! Room service was the worst : It took 3 hours to deliver a pizza !!! Trays stayed a full day outside before someone picked it up AND I COULD GO ON AND ON !!!

Doubletree near Miami Airport
The hotel is majestic and beautiful with well appointed rooms. There are only a few problems: you have to pay for parking $7, and $12 for valet overnight, which is silly because the price of the hotel is high anyway. Also, there is no complementary shuttle from the Airport, which is ~3 miles away. It costs 20 bucks via cab. Upon my arrival at 930 pm, there was a HUGE line of people ahead of me to check in, and only two slow moving clerks were at the desk, accommodating the guests. I marched over to the Special Double Tree guests line because I was tired of waiting after being out and driving around all day - I also had to get up at 4 am to catch my flight. I was received at that line promptly, but it was just amazing that nobody had the brains to have people come to that line earlier. That said, the room was beautiful and the cookie was delicious.

suck mattress bed..
Doubletree hotel is good, but bad bed mattress. I couldn't sleep well. Anyway, I had a good time with a friend at downtown in Miami.

Doubletree Miami Review
Flew into Miami for the weekend for a wedding. Hotel staff was friendly, food was great. Downside- distance from the beach and not the greatest view. Pool was nice and relaxing. Hotel room was very clean.

Lounging Couple
Comfortable hotel close to Miami Airport
We stayed at the Doubletree for 3 nights. It was a great hotel for the price - the rooms are very clean and everything looks shiny and new. The complimentary cookies are a treat :) It's only 10-15 mins drive from the airport, depending on traffic. The parking is an extra $7/night and must be paid for all days staying. Breakfast was not included and cost $15 per person, which we found rather pricey. The pool was lovely and the welcoming water trickling over the rockery was very inviting. The temperature in the jacuzzi hot-tub, however, was not very warm. There was a problem with our air-conditioner, as we could not adjust the temperature, and even with it switched off (in the middle of summer) it was still cold. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay there. The staff was helpful and mostly friendly, although it was a bit hit-and-miss with some ladies at reception.

Try to use the W Flagler St to get around to nearby destinations. The GPS kept sending us to the tolled highway just north of the hotel!
