Clearwater is 25 minutes west by car, very nice place to beach comb or shop.

ISOLATED
There is nothing within walking distance.If you park your car you must take the hotel shuttle to very limited locations.Restaurant only had very expensive buffets during our stay.We had to take the shuttle to have meals. Some wait times to be picked up was excessive.

Great Weekend
Had a fantastic stay with a room with a great view. The staff was super awesome for taking time to take a few pictures of us before the braves - rays game. Braves won! Go Bravos! And thanks for a great stay.

A room with a view
The great experience began with my phone call to confirm the reservation and make a last minute, much needed room change. The staff handled my request above my expectations. I was in Tampa for a friend's wedding and though I only stayed for one night, it was well worth the cost. The staff was truly stellar in their service through the moment I left the hotel for my trip home. The room was AWESOME!! And the view over the bay was BREATHTAKING!!! The location is in one business area of Tampa, and only 20 to 30 mins from the beach. It's less than 10 mins from Tampa International Airport. Though I wasn't able to take in all of the amenities of the hotel; based on the rest of my stay there, I don't doubt my expectations would've been exceeded. The next time I make a trip to Tampa, this will be where I stay. And to top it off, there is a Starbucks located in the lobby.

A relaxing night typical of Westin
Very nice hotel typical of the Westin chain. There is a small beach front and public beaches close by, but not a typical boardwalk. There is not a lot of restaurants/shopping close by.

Westin Tampa Bay
Hotel was very nice. Actually was a bit better in person than in the pictures online. The room was very cozy and the water view was amazing. Room was very clean, lobby was nice and modern, great resturant. The pool and work out room looked nice didn't get a chance to use them, but they were up to par with other hotels. The very small only complaint I kind of have was the walls were a bit to thin. Other than that it was a great stay. 4.5 of 5 if I coulda done 4.5 stars.

Down the highway about a 10 minute drive on Dale Mabry is a Whole Foods and other stores if you wanna by your own breakfast or lunch to cut back on money.Be aware of the mini fridge in the room though becuase as soon as you lift something out you could get billed even if you don't consume the product.
