Sheraton Tampa East Hotel

All was very friendly. rooms were very clean. Would stay again and recommend.

The hotel is currently in the middle of a (needed) multi-million dollar upgrade. The lobby is very nice but the rooms really do need to be dragged out of the 1990's. Don't get me wrong; the room was clean and comfortable, just notably dated from the furniture to the bathroom, to the TV. For the money, it met my needs.

Now, I have to put this in context. My roaming band of musicians had just stayed in a string of "brand x" motels for several nights. After one particularly bad experience in one of them, I decided that the guys needed a break, and I canceled the other "brand x" hotel I had booked in the Tampa area and found a great deal here. It was like an oasis! Beautiful facilities, waterfall in the lobby, comfy beds, nice bathrooms. Yes, you expect that all from this brand - but I'm just saying that all this hotel goodness was especially nice after all the other places we had stayed. So, this is obviously a business traveler-type hotel. It's not really a resort. Great location. If you're headed to the Brandon/Tampa area do yourself (and your band) a favor and stay here!

I HAD A GOOD EXPERIENE AT THIS HOTEL, EVERYTHING WAS GREAT!!!

Wanted to stay close to the 1800Ask Gary Amp. and was very close. Also, the hotel offers a free shuttle ride to and from the Amp.The hotel staff was very friendly, after checking in I got a call from the front desk in the room asking if everything was up to my standards. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was just fine except 2 issues. 1 the a/c did not work well so room was warm. 2 no conv store open for snacks. Otherwise the staff were very friendly

Chose this hotel based on star rating, pictures, & location. When you enter you are greeted by a water fall & marble floors so you feel like you're walking into a higher end hotel then I got to my room & some things were just out dated. Nice bedding & furniture but bathroom & TV not so much. Coffee pot in the bathroom? That was weird to me. Went for business but since family was close by that I haven't seen in years I decided to go few days earlier. Reservation had to be split up since I paid for the 2 extra days & my company paid the rest. At check-in I was assured there wouldn't be any issues & could stay in same room. This wasn't the case when I returned to hotel late Sunday night, & had to deal with the room key not working for an hour & being told my credit card was declined. How is that possible when I paid 2 wks in advance & had no addtl room charges? Not fun when had to be up early Monday & when they realized they messed up after I repeatedly told them something was wrong. All I got was we are sorry. Not much to do around either unless you don't mind driving 20-30 min to the beach, or for better dining.

This is our second stay at this hotel. Both stays were very good for us for several reasons: location - it is within 30 minutes of my destination. highway access - I75 is outside the driveway of the hotel. accommodations - the hotel is very pleasant, with great staff, a super pool, nice restaurant, rooms with balconies, and AC all around. It has a nice bar and lounge area also. Some things I would like to see at this hotel are; - new carpeting, especially in the hallways. - bottled water in the rooms, as there is no mini bar and a bottle of water from the vending machine is $2.00! Overall though, a great location for me and a pleasant, quiet hotel experience.

I chose the hotel because it was close to the highway and my kids wanted a nice pool to swim in. We live about 50 miles away and was looking for a weekend getaway. I had read all the reviews. Some were disappointing, some were good. The cost of the room was in my price range so I booked it. When we arrived, I was pleasantly suprised. The grounds were nicely landscaped, the entrance was inviting with a beautiful waterfall in the lobby. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and answered all my questions. The room was clean. All aminities that we needed were there. I loved the fact that there were so many pillows to choose from. The ac was very quiet and the kids loved the balcony. The pool was wonderful and so was the fitness room. The kids approved and want to come back. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of food. The hotel is older but well kept. There were some areas in need of repair but the hospitality made up for it.

I went to Tampa for a family, the hotel staff was adequate, nothing special. When we checked in the host was not friendly and helpful she just gave us the specific information we asked for nothing more. The room was clean and good for the price, I would stay again but would not count on knowing anything about the hotel and their amenities unless I ask.
