La Quinta Inn Tampa Near Busch Gardens

The first smell of urine by the elevators was the sign of something not so good. Not to mention the dirt around them. The room had big carpet stains throughout, making it feel not so clean. The sink had 2 large cigarette burns on it. The towels were paper thin. The location, while close to Busch Gardens is not in a good area of town. In order for the room door to close you had to slam it real hard. Of course everyone else did as well so if they got in later than you, you woke to the noise. They did have new TV's. I would never stay here again.

convenient. hassle-free. I was visiting USF for graduation and had no hotels issues. Quite unusual, but happy to report for people looking to visit Tampa/USF.

my husband and i came out to look for houses since we are relocating to the tampa area. Overall, the hotel was fine; staff was friendly enough, breakfast bar was decent (kind of got sick of it after a few days). The 32" flat screen was nice and it was nice to be able to scroll through the TV guide with the remote instead of having to watch a channel to see what's on. One thing that was annoying was that the Wi-fi had very poor signal. Not to mention that I had complained about it the 2nd day we were there but it never got fixed. I ended up spending over 1hr on the phone with their tech support that kept insisting that it must be my computer. I knew it wasn't my computer since neither of our iphones were getting our signal in our room either but we got wi-fi signal from the hotel across the street on all 3 of our devices. They finally got it fixed and the signal was weak but workable. Overall, obnoxious but at least it was fixed.

My husband and I spent 2 nights here. Everything was fine. Our only complaint was how loud it was at night - but - that's not that hotels fault. They can't control that. Plus, our room was outside the pool so that probabaly didn't help. Otherwise, the room was very spacious. We had a king size bed which was very comfortable. The room was very clean. The ac was freezing (and we tried messing w it), and the sink didn't work very well, but overall I'd stay there again, and I do recommend it., especially if you are going to Busch Gardens!

It was a little less than average for what you pay

the price is a litter too hight, need to update the bathroom, small closet with drawers on the bottom

I often visit Tampa because my daughter attends USF. I have stayed at several hotels in the area. This property was not very good. While the staff was nice and friendly, the choice of hotel was not a good one. Upon checking-in (6:30 PM) I needed to shower immediately because I was coming from an afternoon at the beach, I only discovered after getting out of the shower (note; several hours after the advertised check-in time) that I only had a single wash cloth to dry myself off. I doubt I would stay at this property again.

pulled in after 10 pm was given a room in the back of motel. dark & sketchy. air didnt work & hair in shower drain. desk clerk very nice moved us to front of motel. much better room & area of motel. will never go for budget motel again, should have spent the extra $50 a night & stayed somewhere nicer.

It was very pleasing to have clean sheets in the room...the comforter/sheets and pillow top mattresses really topped everything for us. the room was very clean, and over all a very good value for the money..its only 10 min from Busch Gardens, and the complimentary breakfast is great for parents with children. They also acommodated us with a late check-in, and check-out. The only thing that would have made it perfect would be a true smoke-free room, which I requested
