La Quinta Inn Tampa Bay Airport

Hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. Location is great for easy access to the airport. Restaurants are located in the mall about 1/4 mile from hotel. GPS had a little problem locating. But, I saw Spruce St. and turned; hotel was then about 1/2 mile.

I have stayed at quite a few La Quinta's in the past and this one has by far been the worst. We were given a handicapped room, which was fine but the shower was awful and there was NO hot water. We were already hours settled into our room for the weekend and had no desire to pack all of our stuff to change rooms. Then, the description of the hotel does not indicate whether the rooms are inside or out...these were outside rooms. Every day, we heard car doors slamming, horns honking, people talking, people going up and down the stairs, luggage rolling past our door, airplanes flying over head. And worst of all, it was right next door to a very busy 24 hour IHOP so we had the traffic and noise from those custumers all night long. Not impressed at all and for the cost of this room, it def was not worth it. I should have spent the extra $15 and gone with the Courtyard or the Doubletree.

The location, close to the Tampa International Airport, downtown Tampa and St.Pete, is outstanding. The room was cleaned appropriately and the desk staff was couteous and helpful. The room was comfortable but ill fitting drapes and the location of the mirror on the wall of Room 104 enabled anyone to see people in the room and for us to see people outside the room. The breakfast was basic, muffins, fruit, and bagels, but for those who want more of an American-style breakfast, the hotel is adjacent to an IHOP.

flew in late and it was a quick, restfull place. Nice breakfast in the morning and easy access to interstate.

Inexpensive, middle-of-the-road lodging; you get what you pay for, but little more. Pickup and drop off services to/from Tampa Airport, however, are complimentary.

To start our experience with this motel they were to send a shuttle to pick us up at the airport. The shuttle was to be there in 10 to 15 minutes. Well . . 45 minutes and 3 phone calls later to the motel we finally got our shuttle! Once we got to the motel and got our room, my husband took a shower and the water would not drain down the tub so he was standing in about 6 inches of dirty water. We called the front desk and they sent someone to our room to try to "unclog" the tub. After a couple attempts to get the water to go down - which never did- I asked if they couldn't move us to another room so we could at least shower. They were very accomodating and finally did move us to another room. The water did go down that drain, not terribly fast, but it at least went down. Airconditioner fan in the room was very loud so everytime it came on during the night it would wake us up. Probably would not stay here again!

Needed a quick overnight at the airport. Convenient shuttle service. Room was clean and comfortable.

Good welcome by staff. Clean, friendly and comfortable hotel. Near airport for quick transfer. Hotel shuttle good but waited a long time for transfer from airport. Overall, good value for money.

Check in was maybe a longish 2.5 minutes and check out was 30 seconds. It doesn't get any easier than this!

Is located close to the airport, has a good continental breakfast, and offers a free shuttle to and from the airport. Comfortable bed, would stay there again.
