last minute value and comfort
I waited to the last minute to find a hotel close to the Fairgrounds and when I did try to find a hotel there were no rooms available at the closest hotels or their rates were higher than I wanted to pay for one night. We then found this hotel that had what we needed for amenities at a reasonable rate for the area. It was a short easy drive from the Fairgrounds It was clean and comfortable and we always enjoy the free breakfast bar. The only draw back was they were out of non-smoking rooms with king beds and we had to take a smoking room if we wanted to still have a king...which we did. The people that make last minute reservations can't always get what they request...regarding this point. Otherwise - all was good.

Old and dirty
I've been in La Quinta before but this one needs to be demolish ASAP, you'd be better in a cheapest rat motel. Dirty, smelly, shower tub is disgusting, we left after one night.

Nice overnight stay
Our TV was not working, the front desk guy came up, got the set turned on manually, then got us new batteries for the remote. Really helpful guy. Room was very clean, spacious. We just needed a place to crash for an early flight out of TPA. It was about 20 minutes to the airport car return.
