Stay was too short
Unfortunately, we didn't have much time at the hotel as we checked in at 10:30 pm & checked out at 5 a.m. For the short time that we were there, the staff was very friendly & helpful.

Amazing!!!
I came to Tampa for a concert and this hotel was amazing it was close to downtown and shopping malls. The room was really clean and the staff was very nice!

Will see if there if something better.
Room was nice, but the light from the microwave seemed to go right into my eyes. It probably wouldn't have bothered me so much if I wasn't awake as soon as the air conditioner turned on. The adjustable firmness beds are not a draw, they were rather uncomfortable - no matter what setting we put them on. Fortunately, we were only there for a night. A little pricey for a below average experience. However, the staff and shuttle service were very good.

inconsiderate hotel
I had some unexpected expenses come up (to fix my car) and was unable to make my trip. I didn't even check in. Even though I prepaid for the hotel a few weeks in advance, I just didn't have the money at the time to spend out of town for food/ gas, etc... I understood the no-refund policy, but they wouldn't budge on even changing the reservation to another weekend. I thought it was very nasty of this hotel to not make any exceptions to accommodate my issues. I wasn't asking for a refund, just to change to another weekend in a few months! How hard is that? They already got a paid room, which i hope they did not re-rent to someone else!! Just very inconsiderate of them. Also called Hilton Corporate and they would do nothing. Will never go with them again.

perfect for pre cruise stay!!
This hotel could not have been in a better location from the airport. Picked up a rental car right at the terminal and hotel was about 5 min away. Our room was HUGE and the king bed was super comfortable. Very clean. Outside pool and hot tub was nice- in a parking lot in front of hotel but well hidden by bushes and flowers. great choice for the price and one night stay before a cruise. Prob not as great for a longer stay unless you have a car, but there is a whole strip of businesses and restaurants not far away and the Bucs stadium is also very close.

Tampa reunion
A very nice hotel near the airport
Was in town for a higher-number-than-I-care-to-admit High School Reunion, and a visit with my brother who LOVES to swim. I chose the HGI based upon proximity to the airport, a nice swimming pool w/some shade, and availability of non-smoking rooms with two beds. It far exceeded my expectations. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the guest room was lovely and clean (even included a microwave and mini fridge), and the pool was perfect. FAR superior to other nearby hotels I have stayed at on previous reunions. It's Florida, so you would do well to have a car to stay here or anywhere, as there isn't much on offer in the way of public transportation. Would DEFINITELY stay here again.
