Embassy Suites Tampa has a direct link to the Tampa Convention Center via sky bridge, making this hotel ideal for business travelers. could have been great
good hotel - no self parking - no choice on a $22 valet charge! Themostat was not working properly. When it was 50* outside the room would not get warmer than 72* - the room was cool overnight.

Great Location
The right touch. This was my first experience with complementary buffet breakfast and a 2hr "Happy Hour". This got me going in the morning and had me happy after a full day of meetings. The best combination for the price yet. This wasn't obvious or promoted during at booking. Negative - can't believe the room had a view of a cement wall 15' away! The parking garage had a nice paint job.

great location except for food choices
The hotel staff were always helpful and courteous; the daily breakfast that was included was great, especially the made-to-order omelettes. The one thing I didn't like was the location in that there was no place to eat nearby except at the hotels in the area so finding a place for dinner each night was difficult.

Let's Go Bows!
Spectacular!
The Embassy Suites in downtown Tampa was the perfect hotel for our needs. We flew from Hawaii to Tampa to see our Rainbow Wahine volleyball team play for the NCAA Div. I national title. The St. Pete Times Forum, where the games were played, is within walking distance and the Convention Center is a pedestrian bridge away. A supermarket and drug store are within walking distance. On our trek to the market, we crossed a drawbridge and saw pelicans! The hotel room had living and sleeping spaces, each with its own tv. The delicious breakfast buffet served each morning was a winner. The lady making made-to-order omelets was a delight, as was our server, [...]. They started our day off happy and with a great energy boost. There's also a trolley right outside the hotel that takes passengers to nearby towns. Downtown itself is modern, safe, and clean but lacks eating establishments and things to do with families.

The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is a substantial playground for adults. With tons of slot machines and card tables, it's hours of enjoyment. There's a food court (not that great) for a quick bite or a decent buffet for a heartier meal. The drive from downtown Tampa to the casino is about 15 minutes away by taxi.

Beautiful and luxurious
Was there for a nursing convention. Loved the direct access to the convention center from the hotel. Was glad it was sunny and warm because access not covered at all.

Great cruise port location!
The suite room was excellent. We loved the seperate living space with the extra TV. The breakfast bar is the best we've ever had. The location is great if you're going on a cruise. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are quiet.

Fantastic Hotel
The NEW Embassy Suites downtown Tampa was a great buy. Adjacent to trolley for easy transportation. Starbucks on site is nice too!! VEry happy with the stay.

great choice
This hotel was right acrosss the street from the convention center and just a few blocks from the port for cruises...great location! The staff was very helpful and friendly.
