Embassy Suites Tampa has a direct link to the Tampa Convention Center via sky bridge, making this hotel ideal for business travelers. Florida Bar exam meets relaxation
Very nice hotel and excellent location. Florida Bar being taken, so they raised the prices during that time frame. Otherwise, very nice and relaxing during a stressful time.

Beautiful, nice people, process issues..
The staff was excellent, however process issues re: malfunctioning door locks, room air conditioner, cleaning service made for a somewhat frustrating week, as we had a problem (some repetitive) literally every single day. To be fair - the hotel took very good care of us w/ compensation (free parking, free Internet access), etc. afterward, and were right on the spot once the issues happened - but there are process issues that could eliminate the problems in the first place. Must emphasize - staff excellent, friendly, caring - before and after the problems - it's just that we had so many problems - literally every single day. At some point, it was almost funny (but not.)

Really enjoyed the Science & Industry museum and Lowrey Park Zoo. Both have taken care to plan for family interests with interactive exhibits that are fun for parents and kids alike. Zoo is very well planned so that most walking paths are in the shade. Animals are close, healthy/happy. Plenty of water, bathrooms, etc.

Great place for the rich and famous.
Booked with this hotel because it seemed to offer more than the others. Great Rooms, great breakfasts and evening receptions, the staff exteremely friendly and helpful. The two problems were the parking and the location of the hotel, which made the drive to our destination harder. Otherwise this is a great hotel.

First class accomodations
Nicest hotel that I have ever stayed at.Very nice room, excellent breakfast, courteous and professional staff.Made you feel like you had a million dollars.Would definitely recommend Embassy Suites to anyone.Will most assuredly stay there in the future.

Great Location by Trolley
location is wonderful. Would be nice if the hotel would include information on the trolley and street-car routes in their information book for the out-of-town non-driving guests.

take the trolley for $5 up to Channelside. Plenty of places to eat and Howl at the Moon for dueling pianos on Thurs, Fri, Sat (Thursday wasn't crowded so more pleasant than the wilder Friday/Saturday crowd).

Nickled and Dimed
Nickled and dimed for everything. Expect to add $20 a day plus tax to your hotel bill if you drove in. It would have been better to include the parking in the cost of the hotel instead of ambushing the customer with it at the check in counter. Bottled waters in the room are $5 each. Rooms are well worn and in need of redecorating. Perhaps the hotel was nice 10 years ago but not now. Arrogant and perfunctary staff. (but the cleaning crew was helpful) The only thing I liked was its proximity to the convention center. But other than that, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere!

Excellent location and hotel
Large suite of a room with comfortable living room and king size bedroom. Our room on the 15th floor had a terrific view of the city. The other side of the hotel faces the water. Excellent cooked to order breakfast with very friendly and accommodating staff. All parking is valet. This hotel is on the water edge of downtown just before you cross over to Harbor Island. There is a Starbucks in the lobby.

Tampa Convention center area
Great service, with staff seeking out if they could help with anything. The nightly Manager's reception was very nice and it allowed me to meet with associates in an informal but pleasant environment. Like the location near the Street car to Ybor!

Drive or take the Street car to Ybor (Dining, Shopping, Entertaonment ETC), but M to Thur the Street Car stops running at 10 PM.
