one weekend night in Tampa
i deducted one star not due the fault of the hotel management. i guess it was a busy weekend, and there were a lot of mostly young guests that came for the football game. at around midnight, when i was deep asleep, a bunch of guests passed by my room banging on the door many times. you know the feeling... but other than than a great experience, and yes i would definitely recommend the venue.

Not Bad.
Good location, in the middle of everything. Nice pool and spa area. Next to a highway a little loud on the back side of the hotel.

Awesome for centrally located needs to downtown
It was clean & bright, and had a very nice courtyard/pool area where we sunned ourselves, and had some cocktails! It was very convenient to downtown, Channel Side, the Trolly (that we took to Ybor City) and University of Tampa. We were looking at Tampa campuses for my daughter...very convenient to Hwy 275

Noisy!
The hotel was newly redone and clean. It was also a little musty like someone had smoked in it. My room was on the end by a stairwell and I woke up several time due to the noise. I also had a hard time getting back to sleep because the highway so close the building! Conveniently located close to downtown but I wouldn't stay there again.

Just across the parking lot is a sports bar/grille. The food is excellent and you can't beat the location.

It was an okay stay. The only problems I had was that the drain in the did not work very well, there was no ice machine on the first floor (you have to walk all the way to the front entrance and have someone get it from the bar), I was never notified about their smoking policy. After going out for my bachleor party that night, we came back to the hotel and some of my friends decided to smoke in the room. They charged me an extra 250 dollars. I understand you are not supposed to smoke I allowed them to make a dumb decision but there is no need to charge me two and half times the amount I paid to stay one night there. And they only had a morman bible in the room, is Mitt Romney part owner?

Just a lay over before a flight in the early morning.
Checking in was WONDERFUL!! New trainee and she was extremely helpful. Also wasn't afraid to ask for help from supervisor when we asked a question she didn't know the answer to. Everyone was very friendly. Only complaint is that there was a bunch of people on the 4th floor who were loud in talking, after midnight and thumping in rooms. My husband opened the door and they quieted down.

great time in Florida!
As usual for Marriott, this Courtyard Marriott at Westshore in Tampa was terrific. Excellent location; warm, friendly staff, clean & secure location. Highest reccomendation!!
