The spa features a Beachfront Massage so guests can get pampered while listening to the tranquil sound of the waves.

The property's resident pirate, Captain Redbeard, entertains children with activities throughout each day. The drop-off supervised children's activity club, KONK (Kids Only No Kidding!), is for children ages 4 -11. Pre-registration is required, space is limited and fees apply.

Good Vacation Resort on Beach

Staff was friendly, and Hotel was very clean, Room was spacious with many amenities. Grounds are very nice with multiple activities, however most activities require an extra fee for hotel guests. Parking is ample, but a fee is also added to the room. Pools and restaurants are very good. I would stay here again, and recommend it but be aware of the fees for parking and resort amenities it feels a little bit of nickel and dime.

Family oriented resort

It is a very family oriented resort with plenty of activities for children, i.e. a huge water slide, paddle boats, blow up water features for kids, etc. There is an adult swimming pool and Tiki Bar and rentals for Jet Skis right by the resort Cabanas. The Spa facilities were nice and reasonably priced. It was very quiet since it was after Labor Day and most of the children had gone back to school.

my st pete beach trip

Nice place nice location with plenty to do on site. Room great amenities and fantastic view of ocean from the room. Bermuda s restaurant host very rude from the start and I have to say most of the staff past the front desk and front gate did not smile . If Beef o Brady's didn't serve beer they should just CLOSE! This beef o Brady's staff was horrible!!!! When we walked in we saw an empty table by window so we could have ocean view but it was not cleaned yet. There were 3 couples in the whole place. Table did not get cleaned till nearly half of dinner service and table next to us never got cleaned. My wife went back to room to use restroom when check came. She got back from room before I got my card and check back . Waiter spilled tea during meal and left it the whole time with a wet floor sign over it...again 3 tables being served with 3 wait staff. Best tip...eat across the street at silas dent steakhouse and skidders also has great food and great staff. Out five days stay we ate at hotel once and it was of frozen dinner quaility. Nice visit but I will not stay there again due to the staff .

nice but not worth the money

The Tradewinds Grand is situated in a good location on St. Pete's Beach, with several restaurants on the premises (most quite overpriced) and a Tiki bar (also very expensive). The 5 pools are average and small, very overcrowded, and nothing special. The beach is decent..they will set up a "cabana" for you, which is basically 2 lounge chairs with a hood. There is a huge slide on the beach, which the kids did enjoy. For the privilege of using the amenities such as the pools, cabana, gym, slide, and paddleboats, they charge a $35. plus tax daily resort fee, which we found ridiculous on top of the $235. per night room price. You have to pay the fee..it is not optional. They give you absolutely nothing extra in the hotel...you even have to pay $7.95 daily if you want to use the internet on the hotel business office computers, which I have never seen before. The resort is pretty, but the rooms are very tiny...We had 4 in the room, and you could not even walk without having to climb over each other. At check-in, we were told that since we were there during a non busy time, they would love to upgrade us to a more conveniently located room. Imagine our excitement, until we were told that it would only cost us an extra hundred dollars a night to do this!!!! We politely declined their "generous" offer. There are only 2 elevators in the entire resort, which is huge, and only one was working for much of our stay, so we spent a lot of time waiting outside in 97 degree heat for a non air-conditioned elevator. There are many hotels and motels along the strip, and I should have researched it better before booking.

Great place for a nice get away

A long weekend family get together at a wonderful hotel. Location is convenient to Tampa airport, right on the beach, a beautiful facility and close to good restaurants and other activities. Wonderful exercise facility. We did not take advantage of most of the on site amenities, but those we did, were fabulous. Would stay again!

Mom & Daughter trip

Excellent trip. Lots of fun things to do with kids or just relax on the beach or at the pools! Stay Gulf front, the views are great and the sunsets are amazing! We took a cruise over to Shell Key. Lots of fun. Resort food is reasonably priced or venture out locally. Every thing is convenient. Lots of great local places to eat!
