Room Location

The room service was okay unfortunately I got the last available room so i was near an exit door which was a bit noisy from ebb and flow of the smokers and other guest.

asked for non smoking and got a smoking room Hampton would not change rooms

Disappointing hotel stay

The hotel itself needs to be remodeled, better yet it should be relocated - I did not feel safe in the area we were in (run down part of town). The cleaning staff needs to be retrained in cleaning - the toilet had mold under the rim, the tub had mold on the sealant/calk and on the shower curtain, twice we did not recieve coffee grouns for the coffee pot and when I contacted the front desk I was told there is no room service at the hotel (i was not asking for room service I was asking for coffee grounds). We also had to call down to the desk because a spare roll of toilet paper was not left. Additionally there was a 1/4" of dust on top of the TV cabinet. I was very disappointed in our hotel stay and will think twice before I book at another Hampton Inn. [...] Other that the hotel, my stay in the st pete area was wonderful.

Stay closer to one of the beaches, I would not suggest staying in St pete itself unless you are in the city or on one of the islands

Great value

Great hotel -- love it that breakfast and internet are provided at no additional charge. Drives me crazy when other, more expensive, hotels charge for every little thing. The only problem we had was finding a good place to eat nearby -- lots of fast food, but very few sit-down places in the area. Overall a very good experience, though.
