Holiday Inn SARASOTA-LAKEWOOD RANCH

The decor was great as was the view of the lake from the room. The hot tub and pool were fantastic and the staff were polite abd helpful . The only drawback was the location as it was a bit far from town ( we were there fir the film festival and had to go back and forth several times a day ) and thus had to get a rental car. The hotel's relatively high price for being out of the way from the city or the beach, along with the price of the rental car is what diminished (slightly ) the value. However, after all is said and done , we had a lovely stay and did not want to leave the hotel and return to New York !

Staff was friendly. Bedding was comfortable and room was clean.

Hotel was so-so. One little thing that bothered me was that the hallways had attractive carpets, but there were several spots where someone had spilled bleach on them and nothing had been done to correct this problem. Also, in our bathroom, the vinyl wall covering was peeling.

Great hotel, I was in town on business training. Location was near plenty of restaurants although the restaurant inside the hotel was also very good. They serve buffalo steaks which were excellent. Room was tidied up and cleaned each day. No HD channels so it seems fuzzy compared to what I'm used to at home but that is getting picky.

it was a pleasurable stay at the holiday inn hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable and staff was incredible from front desk to maintenance service.

Holiday in Lakewood ranch was everything and even more than expected. The room was beautifully decorated and bathroom was luxurious. The beds were comfortable and very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is very clean and nice, staff is friendly and prompt, restaurant has great food but limited choices especially for those with dietary restrictions. Rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable, and well designed. Great pool, spa, and fitness center. Quiet relaxing environment close to shops, dining, anything you need. Only improvements that could have been made were that carpets should be cleaned more thoroughly, some stains, one lamp did not work, and bath tub faucet was a bit loose causing not all of water to divert to shower. Very minor issues compared to perfection of everything else. Next time I would get a king size bed, no queens available, just doubles, not good for couples and would request a room not facing the parking lot. Would be worth paying extra for a bit of a view although the room facing the lot was quiet and we had no problems. No sounds heard from any neighbors.

Convenient shopping & restaurants close by. The room was very nice. Hotel restaurant was ok - the food was good but maybe a little over priced. You get a free drink with an entree but that didn't apply when you ordered a burger - which was too bad.

Great place to stay. Nice and quiet. Extremely clean. About 15 minutes from all the beaches, shopping, dining. Staff was very generous. Great price. We enjoyed our stay very much.
