Away from snow
Everything went very well. Pool was lovely, only complaint is that it was was not heated and the nights were cold so we couldn't swim. Starbucks across the street. Hotel breakfast was average. Rooms very nice and clean.

Smelly room - no blanket
The room was smelly when we got there - Muggy! Running the air for two days did not help. And when running the air, the room got quite cold, and there was no blanket to be found. Breakfast was well supplied, but just adequate. Hotel is very centrally located in downtown Sarasota.

Smelly Room - No Blanket
Upon arrivale, the room smelled VERY moist. Two days of running the air conditioning did not remove the odor. Also, running the air conditioning got the room pretty cold, and we needed a blanket at night - No blanket was provided. THe hotel is well situated in downtown Sarasota.

Cockroach-Palooza!
It was infested with so many cockroaches that they were in the fridge, on the curtains and along the baseboards! Maintenance removed the fridge while I was moved down the hall. The manager was polite until i asked to be refunded for the night (I was)--she wanted to give me a gift certificate instead. For 10 bucks more I stayed closer to Siesta beach which was AWESOME & bug free!

Good Hotel

Nice Older Hotel, Great Price
Stayed just 1 night, nice older hotel, they've done a great job with up-keep, room was quiet, everything was clean, decent continental breakfast.

Bed Bugs!!!!!!
My family and I travel often and have stayed at hundreds of hotel around the world. We decided to stay at this hotel only because it was very close to where our friends were staying and nothing else was available since it was last minute. Upon walking into the room we immediately noticed both beds were full of bed bugs. I mean FULL!!! When we notified the on duty manager he didn't say he was sorry he just said he would sent maintenance. Are you kidding, what was maintenance going to do. We quickly left and needed to spend the evening with our friends.

Nice and very accomidating
the staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and that we had everything we needed. they brought a crib into our room before we arrived for our little one, and washed the fitted sheet daily to ensure our baby had a clean place to sleep. We lost door keys, needed bandaids, and they happily gave anything we needed. our room was cleaned daily without us asking and the bed was VERY comfortable. i tend to not like renting rooms that have their own entrance from the outside, but this is one place i will definately stay again.

go to Walts sea food. all the locals eat there. The sea food is the best for the best value. South on Tamiami trail.
