Hidden gem, clean & great location
Was not looking forward to staying in a 'motel' but to my surprise it was quite lovely!!! The exterior is far superior then any motel or hotel in the area. there is beatiful jasmine blossoming up the rails. It is centrally located, 5miles from both beaches. Near a mall and great activities in walking distances. The inside is SUPER clean, the shower sparkled, the sheets were bright white, the water pressure is excellent, the AC works properly and room is a great sized space for 2-4 comfortably. contentinental breakfast was...okay. they had a waffle maker so that fills the average person! Had a great weekend getaway, lovely town, lovely 'hotel'

Cockroaches in room
We arrived about 5 PM and got our room on second floor about as far away from elevator as you can. Unpacked and when checking internet connection a cockroach ran across table which I killed. A few hours later after we came back from dinner my wife was watching TV when she screamed and another one was crawling on her. I went to the office and asked for my money back but because I made reservations online and I would have to deal with them. They did offer another room with no Frig & Microwave which we took but did not get much sleep and were out of there early in the morning.

Frequently travels
You will need a car
There is a grocery store across the street, some coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. However, any of the "touristy" attractions are not within walking distance and you will need a vehicle. We were pleasantly surprised at the accommodations given the price-point. And we would stay there again.

Close to the beach
This hotel was very nice and clean. The outside looked a little older, but the inside has been remodeled and is nice. It only took a few minutes to get to the beach and the price was right!

Away from snow
Everything went very well. Pool was lovely, only complaint is that it was was not heated and the nights were cold so we couldn't swim. Starbucks across the street. Hotel breakfast was average. Rooms very nice and clean.

Good price, well taken care of
Though it is a older place they take good care of it, new flat scereen were going into the rooms on this visit. Would stay there again

Great Location for Sarasota General Hospital
This is an older motel providing the basics. It's only a short block away from Sarasota General and is very convenient for someone with that objective. Lots of restaurants and markets nearby. My only real problem was that the "non-smoking" room still carried an odor of cigarette smoke, and this in a "smoke-free" motel.
