Americas Best Value Inn Sarasota

The hotel smells like a damp cloth. Some corners smell like urine. The entrance is rundown, and doors creak. It has refrigerator and microwave though, which is good.

This hotel is a great price for being in walking distance to downtown Sarasota but needs some serious attention. It was marketed online as being pet friendly but was not. The rooms were non-smoking but the hallways smelled like a bar. The room must have been painted directly prior to our arrival because the room stank of paint, hope the were not covering something unpleasant up. The bed linen was like sand paper but it was clean, the blanket had cigarette burns all over it. The bathroom terry was stained, was concerned about contracting herpies or something worse from the bathroom so we chose not shower that morning. Staff was friendly, no complaints there. Did not venture to the pool because we were only there overnight. Would not stay here again unless I were offered a free room. I would rather pay another 10$ and stay at La Quinta up the road from here.

I got there and they told me even though i put non smoking as my room preference that it depended apon availability. They messed up and only gave me one bed and charged me $20 more for a room with two beds. They were very very rude.

Really need to work on the breakfast bar we stay at Best Western for this reason .We spent an extra $20.00 for breakfast not goood .

Attended a seminar for 3 days at Lido Beach Area. Nice dinning near the hotel is about5 long blocks (Need to drive. McDonald and Taco Bell at walking distance. Nice beaches at 10 minutes drive. World Traveler

Very friendly staff. Room was clean and fairly up to date. Everything in the room worked. The property itself has seen better days.

First of all, the lady at the front desk seemed to be very unapproachable. With finding my reservations, I was obviously interrupting her tv time. Once we finally got into the room, there were roof leaks and water damage, and a very noisy garage right across the street, who start at 630 AM. We found a new hotel for the next night.

i went to buy a business on tamimi trail road, and this hotel what in good locaiton on the same street where i want to be,,,,, **** however, it was not what i ever been to from hote, not clean( dirty) rooms, small like smoking and i have asked fro NON smoking, NO breakfast like they promise, they told me that they did not buy food this week, the sink and the shower will not drain the water( the dirty water stock on the surface and have to wait for a long time to drain to re used the water> i called the front desk asking about the water not beeing drin and the blanket is not clean, she ask me to watit until the next day when the maintance people comes in, will i'm only staying for one night the next day i want be in her hotel,, bad experince, dirty place, and bad unfriendly staff, no breakfast, bad hotel, i want even call it a motel, it is lesst han that...

we went to the beach for two days. we got our room and there was a rotton potato under the table. so that was a turn off. my daughter took her shoes off and walked around on the carpet and within minutes the bottom of her feet were black. decent location if u plan on going to the beach and dont want to spend hundreds a night.

I did not like the breakfast, not many choices, but especially it is that the proposed bread was out-of-date. One of 15 days and other one of 4 days. To believe that they want that we fall ill....
