The Orlando Metropolitan Resort

The room that we received was a dump. The beds were so hard we might as well slept on the floor. I had no sleep that night. The next morning we asked for another room, but was offered an upgrade at $25 per night. If I wanted to spend that much I would have booked a hotel room on disney grounds and saved myself the drive. After taking 2 hours to get into an upgraded room, it was already 12:00 noon and we missed hours from our day at Disney. The upgraded room was beautiful, so don't stay there unless you get an upgrade in the Tower building.

The room had a musty smell, bathroom toilet had a black ring inside and the position the toilet was placed. A/C was not the best. Room had insects (roaches). The view of the pool was bad trees overgrown. This hotel needs a total renovation.

This hotel is suffering from neglect and a parsimonious approach to guests. We reserved a room for three, and found our room to have one towel and one washcloth. Three of each were brought, but the next day again, we were shy two washcloths. There was no remote for the TV, and it took quite some time for someone to bring one to the room. When we tried to order a movie, the system would not work, and it took the front desk more than 40 minutes to get the problem fixed. The location was fine for visiting Aquatica, Sea World, etc, but otherwise is a commercial strip of no particular charm. The free transportation to Aquatica made precisely one trip in the morning, at a time set by the hotel, and one time in the evening. Don't waste your time with it, take your car. The best thing we did was go to Aquatica early, leave in the p.m., and return in the evening when it was far less crowded. No way to do that with the hotel's service.

The Hotel is hard to find off of International Drive. Upon locating the hotel, I was impressed with the landscaping and lobby. There was only one person at 1600 hours at the reservation desk, which I thought was strange. She was okay not overall friendly but okay. I received my room key, was dissappointed because this hotel was to have been fully remoldeled, and our room left alot to be disired. The room was not clean, there was black foot prints on the bath room tile floor, the towel rack was broken and rusty, and barely connected to the wall. We had to ask for towels. The room had a very stale, mold like odor, the refridgerator did not keep anything cold, they closed the pool in the early evening for a wedding reception and so on too much to mention. This hotel was suppose to be a 3 star, it is a 1 star at best.On a scale of 1-10 I rated this hotel as a minus 5.

The Orlando Metropolitan Resort, is a hotel that I would not recommend to someone who would look for a nice, clean hotel. My family and I were very disatisfied with the amenities of this hotel. The housekeepers were very lazy, didn't clean our room very well, the floors were never swept the whole time we were there. Inside the bathroom only one of the four lights worked. The outside the paint was pilling off everywhere. The air conditoner worked very little and the elevator would shut in, it never gave you time to get out. there were old air conditoners sitting outside the elevators. The swimming area was dirty, the pool looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in days. The only thing that was ok about this place is that it was close to resturants and gift shops, other then that it is a place that I will never stay at. It is not a nice resort.

That hotel was in a great area the hotel it self suck!!!!! it smells it wasn't clean at all the pool area was ran down the hotel needs a total make over.

The hotel is in a great location, but was very disappoint in the up keep of the hotel, the room smell the shower\tub wasn't clean I went to the front desk explain my concerns and was giving another room which OKAY, I hope with the change of manangement the hotel will make a change in the up keep.

Outside is in need of repair.. It is an old hotel that needs a lot of work .

bloody mattress the place is an old motel, door has huge gaps noisy AC Would never stay there again. The place is a motel with room service, a pool, and a very nice lobby. The dining area had no AC in the morning, too hot.

The hotel reaked of cigarette smoke, which even the cleaning products couldn't mask. The air conditioner was extremely loud--similar to sitting in the rear section of a jet plane. In addition, the room was impossible to find because of a stange layout. The security guard was helpful and helped my daughter and I locate the room. Unfortunately, this was the only positive thing about my stay.
