The Floridian Hotel and Suites

The reservation was made for 3, however they only supplied towels in the bathroom for one person. The room stunk of cigarette smoke. The carpets in the room as well as in the hallways were as old as can be. The decor was extremity outdated the bedsheets looked as they went to a Goodwill to purchase them. Supposely this hotel has gone thru renovations since Nov. 2012 I could assure you no updates were visible. The pool waa closed. The TV in theb room was a tube T.V. with nothing to watch but the local news. They said they offer HBO but it never maded it to our room. I advised the front desk manager on duty afterwaiting around 10 minutes to have someone approch me as they seemed to all be socializing in the back. He told me that the hotel eas still under renovations and that he would credit my daily resort fee for my troubles. This hotel is far from being a three star hotel and should not be offered as such. And once their renovation is complete someone from your site should go stay a night before offeing such a rating

The experience was good, and the location was perfect, near I4. Breakfast wasn't so good but for the price you can't ask for more.

Comfortable and close to International Dr and Universal.

The front desk would not answer when called. The beds were uncomfortable and they only had sheets, no comforter. The elevator was not working and the side exit was blocked off to prevent you from exiting or entering near the stairs.

Room was perfectly clean, beds where comfortable, location is perfect for the amusement parks, hotel has free shuttle and free breakfast.

The Floridian is a good definition of travelling on a budget. It is clean, close to some attractions and restaurants, but: - Carpeting already shows signs of heavy use - No refrigerator in the room - Breakfast area is unbelievable small for intended use. In fact is improvised in an area between front desk and pool door. Good juices and coffee, but poor carbos (pankakes, bread, donuts). Expect to wait a long time for a seat in the morning. - Be sure to reserve a non-smoking room before showing up. We did not take this precaution and were assigned to a bad smelling room. Staff tryied their best, but actually they had no other room available. - Expect to pay an additional US$4.50 fee at check in. On the other hand: - Rooms are spacious and clean - Staff is very attentious - Price is reasonable - 3 blocks from International Drive. - Restaurants within a walking distance -

When we checked in to our hotel, we were greeted nicely by the front desk. We were then notified that we would have to pay a daily charge of $4.99 a day. We were very unhappy with the looks of the room. It has not been modernized at all. The beds were very low to the ground and would be very hard for an elderly person to get into. The TV looked like it was 20 years old and the shower curtain had mold on it. The blonde at the front desk had no personality at all. She was very rude assisting guest. While we were eating breakfast one morning, a lady was a the front desk saying someone had stole something out of her room and the police were involved. I'm not to sure what happened after we left. As for the good stuff, it is in a good location only a mile from Universal and 15 minutes from the Disney parks. I really wish there had been more pictures on the website before I booked because I wouldn't have booked. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to someone who is only needing a place for the night.

Outside was a bit rundown, but rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a little meager. Good location, but nearby traffic was very bad when people are leaving the parks.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. Continental b'fast was similar to other motels. My wife and I had no complaints.

This hotel came as a really good surprise....I expected it to be clean but not an overall value as it turned out to be! It was $40 per night and was as nice a room and/or accomodations as I have seen for $90 per night elsewhere!
