The Floridian Hotel and Suites

It was a really nice experience the only thin that wasnt so good was the smell of cigarrette and that they only have one computer for the guests but it is... pretty good for the prize!!!

decent value, polite staff , average ordinary hotel.located close to anything you could need. within walking distance for anything you may have forgotten.short drive to anything your heart could desire.

Room was perfectly clean, beds where comfortable, location is perfect for the amusement parks, hotel has free shuttle and free breakfast.

The Floridian is a good definition of travelling on a budget. It is clean, close to some attractions and restaurants, but: - Carpeting already shows signs of heavy use - No refrigerator in the room - Breakfast area is unbelievable small for intended use. In fact is improvised in an area between front desk and pool door. Good juices and coffee, but poor carbos (pankakes, bread, donuts). Expect to wait a long time for a seat in the morning. - Be sure to reserve a non-smoking room before showing up. We did not take this precaution and were assigned to a bad smelling room. Staff tryied their best, but actually they had no other room available. - Expect to pay an additional US$4.50 fee at check in. On the other hand: - Rooms are spacious and clean - Staff is very attentious - Price is reasonable - 3 blocks from International Drive. - Restaurants within a walking distance -

The breakfast was continental - not hot or good - ended up passing on breakfast after the first disappointment. I had flyers stuck under my door nightly for local pizza places. - not sure if the motel allowed this but it was annoying. One day housekeeping put a "new" comforter on my bed that had a hole in it the size of a basketball.

Good value, friendly staff, breakfast selection could use a little improvment.

The hotel is the right price and location for your trip to Universal Studios. Not far from the park and has all the basic conveniences needed. Nothing fancy, but you save money here so you can enjoy your adventure park experience. Great location with many restaurants and attractions nearby. Also close to many gas stations to fill up before you return your rental car. We had a loud room next to us and we called the front desk. They came right up and got the noise off. Great service.

When we checked in to our hotel, we were greeted nicely by the front desk. We were then notified that we would have to pay a daily charge of $4.99 a day. We were very unhappy with the looks of the room. It has not been modernized at all. The beds were very low to the ground and would be very hard for an elderly person to get into. The TV looked like it was 20 years old and the shower curtain had mold on it. The blonde at the front desk had no personality at all. She was very rude assisting guest. While we were eating breakfast one morning, a lady was a the front desk saying someone had stole something out of her room and the police were involved. I'm not to sure what happened after we left. As for the good stuff, it is in a good location only a mile from Universal and 15 minutes from the Disney parks. I really wish there had been more pictures on the website before I booked because I wouldn't have booked. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to someone who is only needing a place for the night.

Outside was a bit rundown, but rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a little meager. Good location, but nearby traffic was very bad when people are leaving the parks.

If you are looking for a hotel close to Universal at a good price, this is the place. I was a little disappointed that there was no microwave or refridgerator like the picture shows, but overall it was a plesent trip
