The Floridian Hotel and Suites

We booked this hotel for the price and its proximity to amusement parks. It delivered on both of these. We were, however, very put off by the fact that the hotel was undergoing renovations while we were there, which wasn't mentioned anywhere on their website nor our booking website, resulting in loud machinery outside our window starting at 7 a.m..... This was pretty disappointing when we were trying to be enjoying a relaxing vacation.

I purchased the suite that was a regular room with a dividing partition that had the sink and fridge. The buffet breakfast was horrible. I would not stay here again. :-(

It was worth it, it was nice, Everything was good!

Staff was not friendly at all. Motel is getting an upgrade and you can only enter in on one side of the hotel. This means if your room is at one end you will have to walk all the way around the place to get to your room. The signs are misleading where the lobby actually is. The rooms are nice and the breakfast is good. Very close to attractions and esp. Universal.

Very run down. Really dirty carpets, Breakfast area was awful. Asked for a clean towel to clean off a chair at the pool and was told to look in a cabinet. All of them were used and smelled of mold. We had to pay a "resort fee" for parking, internet and the pool? Really?

I BOOKED THIS HOTEL WELL IN ADVANCE. THERE WAS NOTHING ABOUT THEM RENOVATING ON THE DATES THAT WE WERE THERE, OR ANY HEADS UP ABOUT THE POOL BEING CLOSED. IT WAS BAD, PPL WORKING IN THE LOBBY AND IN THE HALL WAYS LATE AT NIGHT AND VERY EARLY IN THE MORNING, COULDN'T SLEEP CUZ OF THE NOISE..WE HAD TO GET OUR ROOM CHANGED WHEN WE ARRIVED CUZ THE ROOM THEY GAVE US STUNK SO BAD..JUST KIND OF A BAD EXPERIENCE;(

Repairs were being done so it was hard to find out where to go to check in. Also, since I was only staying the night I did not think I should have to pay the extra $5 they required for use of shuttles, phones, etc. I did not use any of them, but they would not return the fee.

Room was nice and clean, plus it was super close to some really good food and universal! I had two problems with this hotel: the "shuttle" is only offered 2x during the day so if you want to go back and forth to the parks you can't unless you want to drive. The other was that there was major renovations going on at the time so there was a good amount of confusion and mess. Otherwise, not bad place to stay.

The reservation was made for 3, however they only supplied towels in the bathroom for one person. The room stunk of cigarette smoke. The carpets in the room as well as in the hallways were as old as can be. The decor was extremity outdated the bedsheets looked as they went to a Goodwill to purchase them. Supposely this hotel has gone thru renovations since Nov. 2012 I could assure you no updates were visible. The pool waa closed. The TV in theb room was a tube T.V. with nothing to watch but the local news. They said they offer HBO but it never maded it to our room. I advised the front desk manager on duty afterwaiting around 10 minutes to have someone approch me as they seemed to all be socializing in the back. He told me that the hotel eas still under renovations and that he would credit my daily resort fee for my troubles. This hotel is far from being a three star hotel and should not be offered as such. And once their renovation is complete someone from your site should go stay a night before offeing such a rating

One stay due to my apartment not being ready on time and having to work, this hotel was beyond comfortable. Easily accessible to the events of Orlando and within walking distance of outlets and shopping centers. Enjoyed the staff.
