fun family getaway

Staff was very nice, receptive & helpful. When I called the front desk to have my suspicions of down bedding confirmed @ 10:30 pm, housekeeping was up in 10 minutes w/ new bedding. The full breakfast they served had REAL eggs, lots of fresh fruit,& great variety; it was a great way to start our busy days of touring Disney. The location was not a far drive; maybe 20 non traffic minutes. The pool also had nice foliage around it; something that didn't show in the photos All in all a good choice for our family

5-Day stay

This is quite a nice hotel. My wife and I were very impressed with the courtesy and response to any issue. Very security minded-it has multiple floors, hence an elevator-which requires your room key to operate. Near everything for us. We were surprised to see it is rated as a 3 star--I would have thought higher. Certainly, we would stay here again.

Clean rooms, good location for Universal, but terrible for Disney

Room was clean and good, there was a pool which we didn't use, also gym and arcade. The location was good, some restaurants nearby and Pointe Orlando nearby too which is handy. One major complaint - the staff is very friendly and tries to help but is grossly misinformed about a lot of things. Two things, there IS a bus (lynx 42) that will get you to and from the airport directly, it is located behind the hotel on i-drive, this will only cost $2 and is great - although it will take you 1h16min. When we called them beforehand they did not tell us there was any public transportation at all. We had to ask two more times when we got there to different people before finding out about this bus. Secondly - Going to universal is great, it's close and there are 3 free shuttles in the morning. If you want to go to Disney (and do not have a car) - I would definitely not choose to stay here. There technically is a 'limo' service that takes you there for $5 which sounds great on paper but this is only ONCE in the morning (leaving at 930am - disney opens at 9am) AND they drop you off at 'downtown disney'. For those of you who don't know, downtown disney is still a far off way to any of the 4 lands that you would want to go to. The driver will tell you that 'there are shuttles from downtown disney that will take you directly to anywhere you want to go' which is not exactly true because there is NO DIRECT buses available. You will need to go to a resort (or Port Orleans) to make that transfer. All in all, the earliest you will get to any land will be at the earliest 10:30am - for $5 it's quite a steal but I don't think it is worth the hassle and missing basically 2 hours of park opening. Coming back is the same story, departs from downtown disney only ONCE, 8:30pm. And don't even bother trying to take it back if you didn't 'reserve' it with the driver in the morning because they WON'T take you for some reason. (ps. quick tip here, you can take the lynx 60 from downtown disney or ticketing center back to international drive, but if you do make sure you ask the driver to get off at SEA WORLD - otherwise you will zip onto the highway for 30 minutes into orlando's city center) All-in-all, the hotel is great and staff was very friendly and 'helpful' - although I wouldn't trust them 100% about anything on transportation - for public transportation you are better off going across the street to the disney reseller and ask them - they are much more helpful and know what they are talking about. Conclusion: If you are going to any other attraction other than Universal and you do not have a car, I would highly recommend NOT to stay here - spend that taxi money on a better hotel instead that provides free shuttles directly to the Disney lands and NOT Downtown Disney.

Great for families!!

The front desk and restaurant personnel were excelent and friendly. The help us with all our request. I made the reservations including breakfast and, although in was not in my record they include the breakfast without questions. My only complaint was the lack of good clean services in the room. We were four people and have to ask for the fourth towels all the time, need to request twice for the room to be vacoum, and you can see the dust in the furniture all teh time. The rooms does not have refrigerators.

Orlando has bunches of dinner-theater venues; Medieval Times, Arabian Knights, and Sleuth Mystery , just to name a few. Check them out if you can't decide on any other type of food.

Great weekend getaway

Love this hotel is not right on I Drive but close to everything you need! I liked that you must have room key to access elevators so no worries about random non guests wandering your halls. Pool with fountain for the kids and nearby pool bar for parents. Great getaway!

Orlando Vacation

Decent hotel, my kids enjoyed the castle theme. Unfortunately we were charged by both parties. Hotel is working with us to get charges reversed. Overall it was centrally located, clean and free parking, which was a plus.
