Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites ACROSS FROM UNIVERSAL ORLANDO

The Holiday Inn Univeral Studios Main Gate in Orlando, FL is conveniently located across the street from the main entrance to Universal Studios. I chose not to use the complimentary shuttle service because I did not want to be confined to the schedule, but it is available to those who do not mind. The rooms were roomy suites with plenty of room. The pool area was very nice. One word of caution - bring a towel when you go swimming - the hotel only provides very small rags to dry off with.

My family and I were absolutely sickened by the filthiness of this property! I have taken photographs to back up any comments! There was mold on the walls in the bathroon amd sleeping quarters. The sheets were dirty, the water never stopped running, there was mold all over the bathroom, not to mention dirty towels and items left behind by the other occupants!

Well kept and well cleaned. Was being updated while I was there. The staff were great and very helpful whenever I needed them.

My son and I arrived 6 hours early and we were able to check in without any problems. The staff was very friendly including the young lady who works in the hotel gift shop. My son loved the store so much that he bought all of his gifts there !!

Hotel is a typical holiday inn. Clean and you know what to expect.

The bathtub facet leaks. Maintenance should inspect rooms frequently.

First they gave us a room that was already occupied. We walked in on the old man and we apoligized. So we went back to the desk and she put us in a room... all the way up on the top floor (10th). Our keys didnt work so we couldnt get in. So I went back to the desk and they activated the key again. Went back to the 10th Floor and the keys worked. BUT... the room was never cleaned from the previous occupant! This time we're furious! We went back down to the desk... again... and they put us in a Suite on the 5th Floor. A lot of hassel just trying to get into a room and relax especially driving all morning and spending all day at Universal Studios. The room... did not smell so pleasant! NEVER AGAIN!

Thought the hotel was safe and spacious and a great value for the money.

The Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites was very affordable. It is within walking distance to Universal Studios. There is a shuttle service that stops at the hotel that takes you there and back. The times were not always ideal for the return trip but the taxi service from the park was easy and cheap. The room was comfortable although next time I will get a suite. TGI Friday's is a good restaurant to have on site. The Cracker Barrel Restaurant is right across the street from the parking lot and there is an IHOP 2 blocks away. The pool should stay open longer as could the arcade. Most people there are on vacation and do not generally go to bed at 10:30 so longer hours would be ideal.

The Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites was great, the hotel staff was friendly and ready to help. The rooms were comfortable and dinning was within walking distance.
