Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites ACROSS FROM UNIVERSAL ORLANDO

Suite was large, clean and generally comfortable. Two issues were 1) thermostat was in living room and had no real temperature indicator, and 2) bathroom was small enough that its door barely cleared the toilet, so it was awkward getting in and out sometimes. Maid service was excellent and staff were all helpful. Business lounge area required payment to use computers (I don't know if this is widespread practice so I'm not going to complain too much about it). No hotel restaurant but TGI Friday's attached via indoor walkway to lobby. Dinner excellent but breakfast buffet just average.

Hotel location was within 30 minutes of everything you would want to do in a week in Orlando. TGI Fridays was a decent place to have breakfast or a late dinner. IHOP down the street also.Universal Studios just a 15-20 min walk to the main gate. About 20-25 min drive to MCO airport and just off the I-4. Hotel has a car rental desk so it would be a good idea to use a transportation services to get to and from the airport then get a car for the days you want to go out of town for the days. Cabs and nice transportation services are everywhere. There fee is worth it compared to the car rental. Hotel services where ok but room cleaning people didnt hurry to get your room clean most days and never left enough towels and etc. Pool was nice and security seemed ok. Plenty of pizza offers slipped under the door (dont order from them). Stay near the parks you wish to go to the most to prevent travel time as it is a busy area.

I just got the feeling cleanliness was not a high priority at this hotel. Hallways were unvacuumed during our 4 day stay and had an unpleasant odor. Rooms were made up with short shrift. One day our room was not made up at all. Just the trash cans were emptied. Definitely not up to HI standards. I will look elsewhere next time in Orlando.

The shuttle service could have been more convenient. When booking this hotel I expected to be able to use the shuttle to come and go to the park at different times during the day. That was not what we found. We walked to the park each time we went. it was almost a mile to the gate of each park... Every thing else at the hotel was great, the rooms were clean and furnished nicely. The pool was refreshing also

The hotel was a very good value and a great location for walking to Universal Studios. The staff was friendly and very accomodating. The pool was very nice and refreshing after walking around Universal all day.

the room was big but there were no outlets on the living room side of the room. we told the front desk staff that we had 4 in the room..we could not get towels, no one cleaned our bathroom or changed the bedding. we also ran out of toilet tissue...someone needs to really check on the cleaning crew at this hote!

Rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Great location, close to highway and right across the street from Universal.

Staff to personal?????????????????? It appeared that house cleaning took all day to clean rooms over all. Everytime you went in the hall they were cleaning a room? Location to attractions i.e. city walk and universal studios were good as it gets. Food from connected Friday's room service was nasty!!!!!!!!!!!! We did eat there on Thursday evening and the food was good? Different cooks possibly??

Extremely clean rooms, close to everything! Highly recommended!
