Great Universal Location
Excellent location for Universal Studios Vacationers. Close to Universal Studios Orlando theme parks. Universal City provides many options for entertainment. All within walking distance.

Great for what I expexted
I wanted to make sure we can walk to the Universal Studio and Islands of Adventure parks and I booked our stay at Holiday Inn. It was a safe and pleasant 12-minute walk for me with my 9 and 12 yo girls. Also, the pool was heated and provided great entertainment for the youngsters in our "off-park" days. The hotel was reliably simple, safe, and adequate for the price. If you do not have unrealistic expectations of a Holiday Inn, you will be fine, with the added bonus of walking to the parks.

Great rooms!
We were very pleased with the quality of our room. It was modern, clean and had a great sitting area. The bed was very comfortable, and we loved the down pillows / throw for sleeping. I also liked that they provide Bath and Body works products in the bathroom. We would definitely stay there again!

Nice getaway
The location was perfect for Universal. The shuttles were nice, but it would have been nice to know about the boarding pass that was needed for that instead of directing us to ticket deal. It would have been nice to have been aware the price of the breakfast. The bed itself was comfortable.

good hotel if you find a cheap rate
We stayed here for a week while visiting Universal studios and the Holyland experience. Rooms were clean and very comfortable except for being able to hear the people in the room next to us. The hallways were hot, stick and not very attractive. The hotel was able to give us several coupons for food and attractions in the area. They do not have breakfast though. The breakfast is at TGIFridays which is connected to the hotel and its a very small buffet. Even though its relatively cheap 7.99 the orange juice we got with it was 2.79 a piece. If you want coupons ask the guest services specifically for the places you are going but dont be roped into going to the timeshare presentation they try to sign you up for, it last all day even though they say its 90 minutes. You can walk to Universal from this hotel but its a little far to walk for the really young or elderly especially walking home after spending the day at the park. They have a shuttle but you have to sign up for it the day ahead and it only runs a few times. It was an okay hotel but I wouldnt stay again unless it was a really great deal. Id go to a hotel with more frequent shuttle that you didnt have to reserve and with free breakfast.

If visiting universal studios get a meal deal pass for one person and you can go thru the food line twice and get another meal for the next person, the lines are not too long to do this and the workers dont say anything about one person with a meal deal band going thru line twice. Best deal for two people is one meal deal and one unlimited drink deal with it by going through the line twice and sharing the drink which can be filled at anyplace that sells drinks in the park.
