Days Inn Orlando Universal Maingate

The room was about what you would expect for a cheap hotel near Universal. Reasonably clean, OK in size and comfort. OK heated pool. They did not have the amenities promised, though. No microwave, beds are double- not queens, and the shuttle to Universal only drops off at 10:30 and picks up at 7:30- the busiest times of day to be there. Luckily, it is less than a mile walk, so we could get there before the crowds. Only worth it if you can get it for a screaming deal.

7 of us stayed for 2 nights and went to Disney world. The rooms were clean, staff was ok, not great, no breakfast and NO coffee! The pool and bartender were the best part of the stay.

We were put in a room which had a malfunctioning toilet then moved to a suite infested with ants and roaches. The staff gave us the wrong directions to our room. Now I am having to jump through hoops and wait days later for a refund

first off the reservation that I made was in my opinon a waste of time because the room I requested was unavalible. Then in order to keep a family together that had booked they moved my room just one more time to add even more irratation. When I went into the room it was like back to the 90's. Instead of taking the old paint off they just repainted over everything. There were roaches in the room to greet me when I opened my eyes and looked over at the night stand. The tub was clogged and kept filling up with water when I took showers. The comforter had writing all on it but it was probably clean. I'ts just crazy when you have to guess whats clean and whats not. Over all, like I said, thank goodness we only went to the room to sleep. Oh and the staff is super ghetto. The two girls that were working on feb 7th around 6pm were absolutely horrible. No point of even hiring people that want to waste their lives and everyone elses. If you don't believe me go see for youself.

Great and spacious room. Nice furniture. Lots of space. Plenty of drawers. Great staff. Lobby was super nice and clean. My family loved the atmosphere in the room! We stay in Orlando very often and don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on hotels. This was the best hotel we've stayed so far for this low price! Oh the location was PERFECT close to everything (right acress universal) but not on a crowded street like international drive!!! The only bad thing I can say about it was that the bathtub was stained and the faucet wasnt draining as fast as I would have liked but for the price it was great! Overall we had a great time and will be staying there again next time for sure

Location was great. Close to I4 & very good place to stay. The room was clean. The tv wasn't that good. Had a great stay & hope to stay there again in the future.

For the bucks I spent (Super low price) I have stayed at extremely better hotels. The floor carpet felt filthy, everything was broken in the room (shower fosset, air conditioning knobs, ect). The personnel were great cant complain about them although, I did not complain to them. I really do not recommend this hotel to anyone until they renovate it.

I was concerned about the stay after reading the reviews. But for the price the Hotel was ok. Rooms had fridge, double beds, iron and got cleaned every afternoon with fresh towels. Our room near the pool area had internet access in the room which was good considering that we have stayed in more expensive hotels in Orlando that did not have.The staff were helpful. Location is excellent near Universal. Pool was good sized and clean. The only concernd was that the carpet was very stained.

Extremely disappointing what was advertised was not completely true. There FREE shuttle only leaves once a day. The Tiki Bar only opens if the bartender decides to come in, also the restuant is only open after 5. So if you want to drink or eat and you are not leaving at the only one shuttle a day you have to walk the mile to get to the City Walk. Not at all what was advertised on there website.

We went to stay our first night on Orlando just arriving from Puerto RIco. The place looked average from the outside. The guy at the front desk made his job, and I was not expecting any luxuries as I already knew that this was supposed to be a convenience stay hotel. The problem was that I was also expecting to be in a CLEAN place and I was terribly wrong. First of all, the air conditioner filter was awfull. They were completely filled with dust and dirt, like it was not cleaned in months or maybe for more than a year. I spent all night sneezing and feeling the dirt running my thorat. Also, the towels have a grayish appeareance like they were dirty. The bathtub was old and deteriorated. Early in the morning I heard my wife screaming. The reason: there were COCKROACHES running everywhere on the bathroom. I was able to kill 2-3 of them and I also felt an itch on my legs. Apparently there were also bed bugs and they bitten me, as I found that the itch was actually blood spots on my legs. I DON'T recommend this place to no one. It was the worst experience in our lives. Thank God that I planned to stay in a Marriott for the remaining 6 days of our vacations.
