Days Inn Orlando Universal Maingate

Bathroom was very small.. I found small ants and fleas in the bed. On the upside the staff was very efficient and nice..

We were just making a quick stop on a road trip, needed a place to stay and wanted to be close to some nightlife. This was close to walking distance to universal city walk...we'd have walked if it were warmer and earlier in the day. Need new bedding at this hotel, but it was sufficient.

Room given was already occupied~Apparently no supervisor ckg rooms and relaying to front desk which rooms are actually empty or clean. We were given an occupied room that was filled with smoke when we specifically asked for NO SMOKING room. The front desk said they would not honor rooms reserved through Cheap Tickets or Pricelinespecial requests or promises. THey said that offers things they do not show available. In questionable area, felt in danger walking outside of room. Lock was broke and we knew we could not keep housekeepers or burglers out.

will never stay there again...more like a slum hotel...i was embarrassed to mention i had ever stayed there.....just across was the Holiday Inn, Double Tree and Hyatt Place....would have been a better selection

The room we booked for our honeymoon stay did NOT have air conditioning (July in Florida!) and the phone in the room did not work to call the desk! Really worn and OLD room in need of a lot. We stay in Days Inns in all different places and this one did not measure up! I know they are economy, but this one was the worst I have ever stayed in. They did put us in another room, but still had problems. No coffee maker, no hot water in the tub. Glad we only were staying for 2 nights. Would NOT book there again!

I have stayed at this hotel no less than 15 times over the last 4 years. Is it the newest, nicest looking hotel in Orlando?? Nope.... Does it have tons of things to do for the person who wants to spend their vacation NOT leaving their hotel?? Nope. However, given the location and the SUPER LOW cost of this hotel, I never stay anywhere else when we travel to Orlando. The rooms are clean, the staff is pleasant, the location is GREAT, and the overall value is AWESOME!! Just don't expect the look or feel of a 4 star hotel for 39 dollars a night.... Let's be reasonable folks.

First off the hotel was cheap but no excuse for why it should be dirty. When we first arrived we checked room for bugs didn't see any then later on that night they started coming out. On our night stand in between the two beds baby cockroaches started crawling all over. Then by the sink these little bugs started crawling around which looked like baby termites.then we went to go lay down and there was a cockroach crawling on headboard. Then I woke up to one crawling on my arm this morning. I know reviews for this hotel were good.but I would not reccomend at all. If you find something for a little more money do spend it unless u want to sleep with bugs.I never write reviews but I thought id let everyone know.

There were a lot of problems with our room. The flapper on the toilet needed replaced, 4 lightbulbs were out, the remote had to be replaced and you couldn't read the bedside clock. [...] there was supposed to be wi fi in the room, but there was not. [...]

The hotel was in the perfect location. Rooms we're nice.I would recommend it to other people to stay.

[...] pretty much they are lying about having continental breakfast. They are also lying about the "free shuttle transportation." They supposedly have one shuttle and I never saw it. It goes to the park at 10:45 and leaves at 7:30. Useless. Also, I asked for a cab and they called a sketch town car that didn't have a meter and they guy charged double every other cab in the area. As far as the room goes, it's about what you'd expect for 30 bucks a night. Small, dinky towels. Loud people outside. Lots of pizza menus being squished through your door at all hours of the night. Air conditioner that is off/on. Apparently the refrigerator wasn't cold enough, which I found out when my leftovers from a fancy restaurant were ruined the next day. FINAL ISSUE: THIS IS A BIG ONE! THEY LOCKED ME OUT OF MY ROOM ON MONDAY (VALENTINE'S DAY) THE DAY THAT THEY PROMISED I WOULDN'T HAVE AN ISSUE. I went down to ask about it, he said I hadn't paid for the night yet. A: I already had discussed this whole situation with him for check in. B: I had put my credit card number on their website already. C: Most places, they preauthorize your card and you pay at check out, which they already had my card. D: Even though he said it was because I didn't pay, he didn't charge my card until Tuesday morning (so he lied, AGAIN). They guy's name was [...]. I am just got back to Atlanta a couple of hours ago. I am still waiting to see if my card gets overcharged which I am definitely expecting.
