Days Inn Orlando Universal Maingate

Universal Orlando was wonderful but.....Horrible experiance will NEVER stay at another Days Inn worst hotel we have ever seen. Beds wear hard as rocks rolled everytime you move. Staff was rude,Tub was peeling on bottom no microwave as requested. When we got back at 4pm room was still not clean. tears in spread. Then Charged me $6.75 for maid service. Was very disappointed in Hotel and Orbitz $55 is way over priced for the room also Ordered Papa Johns we had to go all the way up front to pick it up because they would not deliver to the room. We use to enjoy Days Inn but our family and friends will NEVER stay at another Days Inn.

Had an end room. very noisy. not even a micro or coffee pot in room. location is okay but would not recommend unless your going for cheapest. get what you pay for.

Oh my GOD...I was so mad, the hotel staff, they were shock as if they didn't know about the condition of the rooms. I had to switch rooms 2 times, once for bug problem and the other for the air condition. What really did it is that I attempted to get a nites refund and they claim that didn't know how much I paid for the room per night...how don't the staff even know the rate their charging..."IT WAS A MESS!!!" I was so upset and will not recommend this hotel and if Orbitz does not respond to me or this problem I am going to blast them also. I WAS OVER- CHARGED!!!

It was not pleasant. They stuck us in the very back of the hotel that looked abandoned. The dresser drawers were broken and the tv didnt work. They sent a repair man out twice and acted like it was our fault it didnt work. We were only there for 2 nights. If it would have been longer we would have found a different hotel to stay in!

1. I never had filthier hotel in my life, and I travel a lot. Bugs are everywhere. I saw one before going in bed, but did not pay much attention, in the morning all left side of face was in red dots. Of cause, because hotel was booked through Orbitz, there will be no refund, but I think money should be refunded. I always trusted Orbitz, but I don't think Orbitz should help these types of hotels with their business. 2. Hotel is in very dirty location. Trash everywhere. Questionable people live in this hotel. I was afraid if my car will be OK by morning. 3. Hotel itself is very dirty. My child fell from the bed and we needed to move the bed......You can find everything there: old candy wrappers, oranges' seeds, tops from yogurts and so on. Disgusting!!! 4. If I can stop someone from going to this hotel, my job will be done.

This hotel is located very close to Universal Studios. That was the only good thing. It took 2 hours, 4 phone calls and a visit to the front desk to get a roll-away bed that was pre-ordered. It took 1 day, 2 phone calls and a visit to the front desk to get a hair dryer that worked. The shower was broken. We could take a cool or scalding shower. Those were the choices. We put some fudge that was in a box on top of the fridge. It took the ants 10 mintues to get there. (At least they were fast) They have ONE shuttle trip a day to Universal Studios. If you miss it, tough. On the evening, we came home from universal to find 3 police cars and 6 police armed to the teeth outside our hotel room. Yes, this was not the fault of the hotel, however, it did not give me a warm and cozy feeling about the location.

IT WAS NOISY AND NOT VERY CLEAN; ALSO, THE STAFF ATTEMPTED TO CHARGE ME FOR MY FREE BREAKFAST, AND THE FOOD WAS HORRIBLE.

It was not something that I would do again because it was our one year anniversary and it was suppose to be special. Internet claim that there will be mircowave and when I went there, there was none so I called the front desk, they told me that they will bring it, waited 30 mins, called again; this time they got to nerve to tell me that I can come to the lobby a heat up my food or whatever it is I want heat it. That was it for me! I like to be treated with respect and if I paid for something then I get what I paid for. This will be the last time I go to Days Inn. I recommend Sheraton Hotel Suite for a great vacation.

FIrst night was ok. But the next night we returned they did not clean our hotel room. Our room was rite next door to the restraunt that nobody told us turned into a club at night so all you heard was bass music until 3am. Then all the club goers decided to hang in the hotel parking lot and be loud until 5am.

If you are traveling to Universal/ Islands of Adventure and can bring your own sheets and pillows this is the perfect spot to stay on a budget. For under $40 you are less than a mile from the main gates to both these parks. Just make sure you plan accordingly if you don't want to take a taxi because the advertised free shuttles only occur once in the morning and once at night. The location is really all that you are getting from this place. If you go bring your flip flops for your room because the floor is terrible.
