Days Inn Orlando Universal Maingate

We liked it so much, not only did we stay an extra day, but it was $3 cheaper the orbitz at the front desk, plus a super discout for Univiversal, better then online.

I went down to get coffee the first morning I was there and they had some sort of study group in the room where the coffee was. When I tried to walk in to get some they kept sshhshing me. Then to top it off they had drink all of the coffee and I could not get any. I felt that that was not the place for a study group. That is why there are libraries

Nice and close to Universal and Islands of Adventure. The last thing you want to do after a long day at the park is look for a hotel.

This hotel was super cheap. It's no resort, but it's a great deal for the money. On site is an Indian restaurant, small grocery/souvenir store, and a small arcade with air hockey. It's within a short walking distance to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and City Walk.. almost as close as the Universal parking lots. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Universal. I have no complaints regarding cleanliness or any thing else.

Initial impressions make this Days Inn ?project? look shabby, but there has been lots of renovation work going on. Most of the rooms and outside area are in decent condition, and the pool is in great shape. There is an attached generic diner which has OK food for an OK price, but sometimes is short staffed. You can walk into Universal with little more effort than using the parking garage without the parking costs. Add in the free wireless Internet and you are really getting your room for a steal. The I-Drive shuttle and LINX buses stop nearby, and are perfect for getting to other area attractions and restaurants. A rental car makes it even more convenient. There are dining option from Wendy to Carrabas walking distance. This is a two star place, but you are getting a little more than your money?s worth with the current prices. This is NOT the place I would recommend if you like to spend your afternoons in your room and at the pool, but has really worked out as a center point for Universal, Sea World, I-Drive, and even Disneyworld.

The location of the hotel was great. I went on a spontaneous trip to Islands of Adventure with some friends and after spending all day at the park it was great that the hotel was so close by. We could have walked to the hotel if we wanted to. The heated pool was amazing. The room itself was clean and well kept. I would defenitly come back!

This was a great hotel for the price. It is within walking distance to Universal, but only if you like walking (we walked twice, took the free shuttle once and paid for the parking garage once). The rooms and beds were clean and comfortable, and reasonably quiet. Bathrooms were not as nice but liveable. The pool was nice although we didn't use it and the staff was accomodating. We were expecting much worse given the low price but were very pleasantly surprised! We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel , comfortable, clean with superb location if going to universal studios. dining options very wide all within minutes. very satisfied with this hotel and will definately go back. room clean, spacious and great air conditioning. pool well maintained and our parking was very close to our room.

The staff was very friendly. They gave me a room with tiled floors as I had dogs. Much nicer than any carpet. Clean. Walls had some peeling wall paper in areas. Bed was comfortable enough. Over all quiet enough. Would not hesitate to stay there again.
