Baymont Inn and Suites Florida Mall

This hotel was nicely updated and the room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom needed a little updating and there was hair in the tub. The breakfast in the morning was fine, a lot of carbs. Very little fruit/yogurt. However, I would stay here again for the price. The biggest bummer was that this hotel only provides airport shuttle for incoming or outgoing airline customers. So, after a week in several locations we dropped our car at the airport as we were staying the night and flying out the next morning. Only to learn that the hotel wouldn't send a shuttle to the airport for us because we hadn't just arrived by plane. (I had called this hotel when we rented the car at the beginning of the week to clarify that we could take the shuttle.) We had to take a $27 cab from MCO to get to the Baymont Inn. While printing our boarding passes in the lobby that night I heard the front desk guy explaining this same policy to two others who were waiting at the airport. KNOW THIS POLICY AHEAD OF TIME because the hotel is not clear about their policy for airport shuttles. The shuttle service the next morning was great...turning in our car the night before to save $72 ended up only saving us $42. :(

It's about 10 minites to airport. Nice room but staff check us in qute slow. They was busy chit-chating. Overall, it's clean and nice hotel.

We needed a stopover (one night) location for our family and found this location. I should have read through the reviews instead of just looking at the rating as I would have gone elsewhere. The night front desk guy was very professional and nice, but the non-functioning exterior doors, sketchy folks congregating outside and the apparent rodent droppings (!) next to the air conditioner left us pretty grossed out. The bathroom thankfully was cleaner and walking in socks was a minor inconvenience. Didn't bother to try breakfast or pool/gym - we just wanted out of there.

when i first called to confirm the reservation i had to stay on hold for about half an hour then i was promised a shuttle from the airport, but when i got there they didnt send one and i had to take a $50 dollar taxi to the room. Then to make matters worse i got a stinky smoking room.

First thing I found at the hotel was a dead COCKROACH. I suspect the cleanness is far from OK. The shower curtain bar was broken so the curtain did not cover water very well. Breakfast was very simple. Internet connection was very very slow. I will never stay at the hotel again.

Very helpful staff, comfy bed, room could be cleaner - especially the bathroom which had some mold. Reasonably close to airport and very close to freeway access.

The location of this hotel is miserable. I did not feel safe with my family there because of the suspicious looking people hanging around until all hours of the night. The people staying in the room next to us were up and loud until close to 4:00 am. We called for towels right after check in twice and never received them. It smelled like mold, there were burn marks in the bathroom in a non smoking room, and melted plastic on the shower curtain. Not a fan, I wish I had looked further into this place before I took my children to stay. The breakfast... was not worth it.... like I said in the title.. never again.

I had very late check in and called for hours during my travels to confirm only to find out later that there was no phone service. There is no elevator in this hotel, and I was on second floor which was a long walk and windy stairs to get to. Continental breakfast - adequate. Their internet down so when I asked if I could stay an additional night for the same rate and told me they could not honor the rate since it was thru the internet, I decided to go elsewhere

The suite was large but could have used a table and chairs. It was on the first floor and was musty smelling, which wasn't unusual for Florida but could have been sprayed to make it smell better. The price was great and we will stay there again.

When housekeeping took the towels in the morning they didn't replace them. When I asked the front desk for towels, they said they didn't have any and I would have to wait until they were finished washing them. They gave me a hand towel to use after a midday shower. Booking on a major travel website, I asked for a non-smoking room. When I got there, I found that a smoking room had been booked with the special request for a non-smoking room registered further down the page. I was mostly not in the hotel room while I visited, so it wasn't too bad, but make sure this doesn't happen to you if you want a non-smoking room. The carpet obviously needed replacing. The floor was not cleaned very well, with chewing gum among the things that were still on the floor when I arrived. The staff were extremely friendly, however, and the price was very competitive.
