Avanti Resort

The hotel is a typical older I-Drive hotel. It's old and has been subjected to the strain of Orlando attraction hotels. The good news is that Avanti has put a lot of care into remodeling the rooms. The rooms are actually quite nice with nice floors and new furniture and it felt clean. Our biggest problems where that we didn't feel that the room had enough lighting leaving us with the choice of opening up the window (that is along the external entrance walk) or dealing with poorly lit room. Our first room had problems with an adjoining door that wouldn't close, but the courteous staff did well by quickly moving us to a new room. The pool is nice with plenty of lounge space around with sand and paved areas and a children's splash area, but the pool side bar, which was under construction was temporarily replaced by a food truck. All in all, me and my family were quite pleased with the stay and would return if the price stayed reasonable and the amenities were complete. ($70 a night)

Although still parts are under construction the room was very nice and the bed comfortable, the staff was excellent and very friendly i will stay there again

Too much noise early in the morning the cleaning crew, the other guest who knows but it wasn't very nice, other than that everything was fine.

I stayed one night and it was a very nice stay. I will be staying there again soon!

The main reason I would not stay at this resort again is because they do not have coffee makers in their rooms and I don't appreciate having to change clothes, put makeup on and then wait 15 minutes at the Barista for a cup of average coffee. The pool area was fabulous but I didn't even know there was an exercise facility/restaurant menu or how to get messages from my phone because a "guide' wasn't in my room. Fan vent was extremely loud, bed frame had clanky metal sounds, had to ask for a "do not disturb' insert, etc. This place could be really nice if they gave it some TLC and coffee makers!!!

I thought it was goin to be nice we got there at 2 am and just wanted to relax and settle in well we got to our room and it wasn't even cleaned from the last person that was there so instead of me getting to relax I had to go back down to the lobby for another room because there's no way I was sleeping in a dirty room.

Very nice location close to sea world and universal.

Room was not very clean but when i called housekeeing they were more than compensating.pool was amazing and staff extra nice.even brought out complimentary fruit smoothies to guests in poolside area. Overall nice place to stay id only change the roim cleanliness:)

I choose this hotel for the pictures, but the hotel looks extremely different. Nothing was clean, trash everywhere, The floor was very dirty, blankets has a horrible smell, hair everywhere, ……I was planning to stay there 2 nights but I had to left and look for another hotel, for a little bit more we found a very nice an CLEAN hotel.

Amenities-I am not sure why do they call it Avanti Resort, all they have is the pool and very small non working hot tub. Every CLEAN towel I took to use at the pool, had hair on it. The cigarette butts, empty soda cans, used towels where all over the pool area. There was even a big fast food truck parked there and some other truck, not sure what for. One of the staff at the pool, was just sitting and sipping her coffee, I was not sure if she was there to clean or she was enjoying the pool. Location-Hotel was conveniently located close to many shops, restaurants and entertainment parks. Room Cleanliness-I have never stayed is such a dirty hotel. Even the furniture was new and updated, the room was so dirty that I was not sure if it was even cleaned after the previous people. Floors were covered with dust, crumbs and hair. There was a non working bulb in the bathroom. The bathroom counter, fixtures, floor, shower tiles were covered in dirt. Shower curtain was dirty and moldy. But the thing that made me consider calling the health department was the toilet was covered with urine stains, which means that the rest of the bathroom and the room can't be that cleaner. I am still considering to report it to the health department, because it is the health issue in my opinion. The rest of the furniture in the room was covered with dust, but after seeing the toilet that dirty it doesn't surprise me. I am not even going to think about the sheets and the towels how they wash it and if they do. Crib that they brought to the room was filthy. Room Comfort-it felt like we were in the basement, surrounded with white walls, no windows, because the window that it was there we had to keep the shades because anytime someone would walk by they would be able to see inside. The bed base is made out of some kind of aluminum so it made a lot of noise every time you move. Clock on the night stand didn't work. The fact that the room was so dirty it made it very uncomfortable to start with. Staff-front desk staff tried to act friendly, but without success. Both girls I had an encounter with were sarcastic and had no interest in my feedback, even they asked me about my stay. Housekeeping person forgot to bring the crib, it arrived few hours later, and he didn't know how to set up the crib and he hardly spoke English. However, when I set it up, I have noticed that it was filthy and started cleaning it, but he made an effort to bring the cleaning supplies and clean it for me properly. I did appreciate that. Value-this is not a Resort, this is some cheap motel. They should never get away with charging the prices they do, especially a $5 daily resort fee. It is such a shame that they run it the way they do, I am not sure how long they will be able to stay in business. Since this used to be Econo Lodge Inn and Suites, this is still the same hotel with the different name. It seems to me that when they took over Econo Lodge, they kept the same staff, therefore, it has that same feeling of a cheap dirty motel. There are so many dissent hotels for this price, this was such a waste of money.
