Art Deco boutique hotel near South Beach clubs, shops and restaurants
Original 1936 Vitrolite panels light the entrance to this Art Deco jewel in the heart of South Beach. The 42-room hotel is more minimalist than its flashier competitors and has been restored to its initial splendor. The expansive lobby has a tiled floor and dramatic lighting reminiscent of Hollywood glamour. Inside, rooms favor the less-is-more approach. Expect lots of white -- Miami Beach's signature color --sleek furniture and Roman shades.

Poor Quality
I would not recommend this hotel. There was used lotion in our bathroom when we arrived. The room was poorly lit. The bed mattresses were hard. The sink was clogged. There was no door service. There was no one to help with bags. The receptionist refused to call us a cab to take us to the club because our destination wasn't far enough. She recommended we take the bus. Really???

Four star rating is in jeopardy
The restaurant for dinner service is 4 stars but otherwise the hotel has zero amenities. The staff was polite but mostly lackadaisical. The location is in a very lively part of South Beach and with respect to the other hotel options it was reasonably good value.

Not following their own words
I was told there is parking and complimentary breakfast. Well, it turned out that there is "valet parking" if you do not want to park on the street. Tired of getting parking tickets for 1-minute delay in refilling meters, I took their valet parking for $28. They said breakfast is not complimentary even though I had confirmed on the phone that the breakfast would be complimentary. The room was nice and comfortable but the bath tub had stains and the TV remote was missing.

Do not do it
They charged me 15$ per day for internet and towel but there was not internet access in the room and the towels were very old. Not enjoyable. Some staff kind of rude.

Great
The hotel is in a perfect location....walk 2 blocks up and you are on the strip. Everything is nearby,...7eleven, liquor store, clubs! I never wanted to leave. The house keeper is amazing....the staff is friendly.... No special amenities but for the price you can't really ask for more..... the only thing I didn't like is that they were a big confused about the $100 hold they placed on my account.... but besides that they were good.

Night in Miami Beach
The check-in clerk was unfriendly, but the check-out clerk was nice. The floor and chair in our room were dirty and more lighting was needed. For this price, these things should not be an issue. Great sushi place right down the street.

worst experience ever
Room wasn't cleaned 2 days in a row and when we complained they answered it was late and there was no one to clean it, on second day they prefered to change us to another room since they again didn't clean it Internet never worked. On day of arrival we were told there was a temporary issue with the wifi and being fixed but that never happened We only got hot water once! A/C got room to freezing temperatures and we were never able to regulate temperature so it was either hot or extremely cold, we were told it was an issue they were having in some rooms and they were fixing, that also never happened

Photos for online booking true. Front desk friendly and helpful. Room clean and neat, not over furnished. Good restaurant and bar on site. Movie trailer was being shot at hotel our first night, a bit exciting. We will pick this hotel when we return to South Beach.

How about some hot water in the room?!!!!!
I wanted to like this hotel as I read the reviews before I booked the room..... I gave this hotel 2 stars only because the room was spacious and the bed (mattress) was comfortable. Other than that it was a disappointing experience. We took cold showers thought the entire stay while the staff told us that this is an old building and they are aware but can't do much. The toilet wouldn't flush unless you are veryyyyyy persistent. I personally called the GM who never had the courtesy of calling me back. Parking is $32 per day and you should allow at least 15 minutes for the valet to bring your car as it is parked who knows where. Andres at the front desk was very nice and helpful that's why I gave the staff 2 stars, the GM however needs to learn what hospitality business means. Oh, a daily resort fee? for what???
