Nice boutique hotel

Room was not ready when we arrived. However, the staff were super nice and upgraded us to the penthouse suite! Suite was really cool and very Miami! Breakfast was included which was a plus. Pool is located on top floor. Its small but offers nice views of skyline.

Great value but Lacking

Rooms are beautiful and modern but facilities could be maintained better. I've been here 3 times but not for a few years-the Valet parking situation is a disaster. It is run by a really shady parking lot across the street. No one greets you when you pull up to park at the hotel. It is very disorganized. The lot is $30 day and is not run professionally. The locationof the hotel is awesome -very close to Lincoln Road and Collins. The front desk is courteous and informal. If you can tolerate a pool with no heat, awful valet, and subpar maintenace with cranky maids-the location and the facilities provide great value.

Great location, nice stay

Stayed here for New Years. There's quite a few bad reviews on this site, but while I think some points are true, some are a little unfair. The hotel has to be taken in the context of Miami. Miami is an expensive city for hotels and the hotels are historic art deco so they can come across a little older . This hotel is in a fantastic location, with rooms with lots of space, a nice pool and a good restaurant. The downsides are the rooms are a little dated and the AC is loud. Its not directly on the beach, it doesn't have great ocean views and it doesn't have all the nightlife and glamour, but then again, you aren't paying those prices! Overall very satisfied with the stay.

Horrible Hotel

After checking in, found room to be not clean and damp odour all across room. Seemed like bathroom were not at all cleaned since last occupants left. Felt more comfortable to be outside the room than inside. Only plus is the location, near to everything (beach, ocean drive, collins ave, lincoln mall etc). Coming on to the free breakfast, timing was 7am - 11am. We reached around 9:30am and found nothing there (no bowls, no plates, no food) except some juice, few waffles and maple syrup. When asked the guys there, they said they have run out of food and delivery for additional has been struck somewhere. Secondly, park the car in parking lot right opposite the hotel with least fuel in car. My car had full tank and next morning i saw almost half tank full. I just wanted to get out of that place, so didn't even bothered to confront for some $30, after spending so much on hotel which was total waste.....

The Sanctuary Disappoints

The Sanctuary was recommended as hip cool place to stay on South Beach. My experience was terrible for the following reasons: 1. No maid service for 3 days 2. No coffee cups 3. Broken coffee maker 4. Disgusting old bath towels 5. Roof leaked during a rain storm into my room The 4 star rating for this place is completely fraudulent. This is a tired, horrible on par with one star.

The Hotel Stay that did not happen.

My experience at this hotel is non existant. Whe I arrived at the hotel about nine in the evening I was told I had no reservation and they had no rooms at all. I tried to follow up with customer service and 2 hours later I was still without a room and caceled and found another on my own and did not get into my hotel room till midnight. Even though I had a confirmation number It did not matter. I have never experienced this before. What can you do for me?

So-so

This hotel is not hotel, and not 4-star , maximum 3-star level. Anytime only one or two staff and response was slow. Air conditioner is noisy and dosen't work well. And so noisy construction was carried throughout day time. Location is very good, but that all.
