The Shore Club, designed by David Chipperfield is a 3 acre village like oasis consisting of 3 large buildings centered around 2 infinity pools, the reknowned Skybar and an arched bridge that leads you to the ocean.

Tropical Oasis yet calming and relaxing with a touch of purity.

Talk of the town and the place to be seen.

Post world war II art deco district.

Perfect Weekday Vacay

I really enjoyed my stay here. We stayed during the week of April 15th. The room was spotless, it looked like it had been cleaned right before we got there. We were upgraded to an Ocean View rooom for no charge, and woke up to a gorgeous view of the beach every morning. Free beach chairs were included in the hotel cost (but not the umbrella). The room itself is quite small, but it is comfy. The hotel definitely looks "shifty" on the outside, but the inside had clearly been updated recently. The pictures do make it look more glam than it actually was, but we booked over a month in advance and got a great deal. .The staff was very nice. Room service prices were ASTRONOMICAL, so we ate elsewhere every day. We would stay here again

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

Walk to Lincoln - lots of food and shopping choices there...but it seems an eternity in the hot sunshine! Do ask for prices when things aren't displayed or you will be in for a shock, but the waiters are nice enough to explain. I would look for happy hour specials when possible, and YELP was super helpful in finding places to eat.

OK, but not great

Arrived and room not ready until gone 4.30 pm. Only parking was valet at over $42 so used public garage a few blocks away. No complimentary breakfast and everything needed paying for extra. Pool area accompanied by excessively loud music, but did have excellent towels. Beach much better! Weird decor in lobby area. Room nice enough, shower v good. All. In all a comfortable stay but not poor value and did not live up to the hype!

Way Past It's Prime But They Still Don't Care

Had numerous problems during our stay, starting with our room not being ready well past 3PM checkin time. Took several calls to staff to wake them up and get them to help us with any of our problems. Food is mediocre, service is terrible, and price is high! Seems they're still riding their "SoBe Chic" era, only it's not nearly as cool as it used to be and they need some serious attitude adjustment. Thank heaven for Sophia, one of the front desk GMs, who did what she could to make up for her colleagues' shortfalls. Still, for their high rates you can go elsewhere and have a better experience and much less hassle.

Not what we expected

We were hoping for a relaxing weekend but instead felt like we were at a fraternity party. Perhaps it was because we got a "good" rate, though it was still about five hundred/night. The room we were given was a cross between a jail cell and a dorm room. Dirty windows hampered the view -- of the air shaft -- and made for a depressing setting. I've never asked to change rooms before, but did this time. The gal at the front desk was very nice and accommodating -- am guessing it is not the first time a guest has asked to switch. The second room we were given faced the front of the building so we could actually see something besides a wall. However, we had to wait about three hours for the second one to be cleaned. Though better this room was still worn, dingy and outdated. Perhaps I'm the only one in the universe who doesn't know that The Shore Club is party-central. Also, I recognize that it is spring break time so maybe it is just crazier than usual. However, music was blasting at the pool all day long, not exactly a peaceful setting. Beach was better. Noise and partying continued way into the night with drunk guests roaming the halls and shouting in the middle of the night. Impossible to sleep through the night with neighbors like that. On the positive side....The hotel lounge/bar is a lovely space and a great place to hang out in the evening. We also enjoyed the lunch at the hotel restaurant Terrazzo. Location is good. Staff was nice though seemed to be stretched a bit thin. For example, our room did not get cleaned until five pm one of the days we were there, and that was only once we asked the front desk to have it done. Will definitely not be returning to this hotel. Have learned my lesson.

Valentine's day trip

Pleasant and more itimate than it's competition. Pool and beach are great and easily accessible. Staff pleasant and attentive. It is at night that this hotel really shines. Good options for a cocktail and an excellent sushi restaurant (Nobu) give this hotel an edge over many of it's local competitors. Anyone not familar with South beach prices may suffer sticker shock and have problems with room size etc. But for South Beach one of my favorites.

Girls getaway weekend

We had a large group of girls in South Beach for the long weekend, and Shore Club was a great place to stay. All of the rooms were clean and spacious, and the bungalows are a fun way to accommodate groups. The hotel provides Malin + Goetz toiletry products, which are amazing! We spent the day at the pool on Saturday where the wait staff was very attentive. Drinks at the hotel are a little on the pricey side, but what in Miami isn't? Overall, it was a great experience and would be back for another stay!

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

There is a dinner/nightclub called Baoli that is across the street from Shore Club. It's a great place to incorporate a later dinner with going out for the evening. Food and service quality were very good, and it was a great option for a bigger group.

NIce hotel

The hotel is in a great spot, but just needs a little updating. The bathroom light around the mirror did not work so it was very dim and made it difficult to shave, put on make-up, etc...In any case, I would say that it was a nit expensive for what we got, but that's Miami Beach.
