Needs some work
It was not what I taught it would have been, but it was close to what I had to do. For the price it could have been a bit better, but the convienence was good.

Cheap! Convenient location! Nothing fancy!
We booked this hotel because it was cheap and close to downtown. We were not going to spend much time in the room, so it didn't have to be anything fancy. Our room was definitely basic, nothing special. The beds, shower, and toilet were all clean, however, the carpets were not (walking on them turned the soles of my feet black!). This hotel is a short couple of blocks from a train station which takes you straight to downtown in a few minutes! It's 2$ one-way (or 5$ day pass), so waaaay cheaper than a taxi! The late night/early morning staff members were all very helpful and friendly (didn't really deal with day-time folks). The connected restaurant was AWESOME! We would stay here again!

GOOD OVERALL
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A LUXURIOUS EXPERIENCE, I DONT RECOMMENT THIS PLACE, BUT IT IS A COZY PLACE FOR TRAVELERS EITHER FAMILIES OR COUPLES. ONE DOWNSIDE IS THAT THE 'FREE' BREAKFAST IS VERY VERY SMALL AMOUNT, AND ALSO THE STAFF AT THE FRONT DESK ARE UNFRIENDLY. BUT THE ROOM WAS CLEAN ENOUGH, AND THE LOCATION WAS CONVENIENT (15MIN FROM AIRPORT, 15MIN FROM SOUTH BEACH) CONSIDERING THE CHEAP PRICE, I THINK IT WAS WORTHWHILE.

Do NOT Stay here...
This hotel was, well, a pit. The room was smelly, unkempt, sink did not drain, tv a 21 inch with lousy reception. Beds made us crawly, carpet, well only with shoes...room was not at all noise proof so traffic from outside made it sound like windows were open and your bed was on the highway. An awful hotel, in an awful area...Not even worth one start.

two guys on a cruise
best value for the money and free shuttle service
The so called "continental breakfast" doesnt even qualify as breakfast, or continental. It was a very tiny glass of orange juice and the most tiny bagel i have ever seen in my life. The room was clean but the TV was worthless. Only 2 or 3 channels were clear enough to see. Best thing about this hotel is the price and the free shuttle to airport and ports.

Only if going to the hospital
The greatest selling point for me was that the hotel is across the street from Jackson Memorial Hospital. If you have little expectations and only plan to sleep, it is acceptable. However, the staff is not the most helpful; the room was not clean (even after each scheduled cleaning); and a shady woman who I suspect was some kind of escort approached me one night asking if I needed company...

Thanksgiving fun
Layover for Cruise
This hotel was perfect for the location. It was in Downtown Miami, close to Miami Beach and the cruise terminal. The staff was very helpful and I was able to use some of my limited spanish!!!! The only draw back was that if you walked around barefoot your feet turned black. The carpets needs to be cleaned or ripped up and replaced. The pool was nice, my 10 year old enjoyed it. It was very close to the highway and we were able to get on and off with no worries. The University restaurant that is attached to the hotel was also good. If I was to take another cruise out of Miami, I would stay here again.

Wasn't horrible
The room needs an upgrade, the bathroom was clean but it had that dirty look to it. Stood there just one night which was plenty.
